family
Well...
Me: Dad's birthday.
Cthu: ...He lives on in memory. Thank you for sharing, so he can live a bit more with us....
"I have to keep reminding myself he's not joking."
Up to #550. Someone said cm9000's pseudo-concern trolling is too realistic. It is. I have to keep reminding myself he's not joking.

Nigel West Dickens #698: I used to have a friend who was incapable of admitting he was wrong, even when confronted with irrefutable evidence. Annoying as shit.

Ah, family! Ain't it grand!
So, about cooking & cleanup... This is a tough one.

When I saw the headline "Mother & daughter special snowflakes make news," I momentarily imagined you were linking to this:
Farmer: ...Hope you are al behaving here tonight. I'll try to catch up and finger out.
Um... Simply saying "phrasing" doesn't seem to cover this one. But, have fun.
Oh, yeah. Just remembered. Daughter coming by at 6am to have me drive her to The City. She's accompanying my mother to California for mom's baby brother's 95th birthday party.
Pistol Pete, Aug 24: "Tomorrow is my baby girl’s 36th birthday."
What a coinkydink. Aug 25 is also my baby girl's birthday. One year off from yours, though. Ain't it great!
Thanks, chemjeff. Planning to have a great year, starting with supper with Mom this evening. After that, whatever.
Since I teased about my 95yo mom still watching TV, let me clarify that she does NOT have some fuzzy mid-20th Century tube TV set with bent rabbit ears, with tinfoil.
Yet more news for Morons
Where Does the Female Orgasm Come from? Scientists Think They Know
Where have I been? Lurking, working, and j... just busy, okay?
cthulhu: Wish her well from the Moron Horde!!!!
I will do that. Y'know what's funny. She'll know who I mean.
G'nite.
Hey, overnighters. Hope things are going well here tonight.
Milady and I had a nice dinner with our daughter and my Mom for Father's Day. I guess the honoree was me. Ordered in Indian food (dot, not feather). Good stuff.
The Sheriff Andy clip enticed me to go check out the article on TV dads. Other than Andy, I recognized most of the shows, and have never watched any of them. But, I'm ollllld.
Howdy, y'all.
Darned if all three of my tykes (grown adult tykes) didn't send me a Happy Father's Day text today, after all!
No necktie, though.
@votermom #7: ...I was looking for a dad book to put on the blog and found a 1953 little golden book...
That was cute.
(take the square root, multiply by Pi... ummm...)
My dad has been dead three times longer than I was years old when he died.
My dad died suddenly (after years of poor health) at age 50, fourteen years younger than I am now. I never got to know him, as an adult.
