chemjeff, "chaste" -don't think it's specifically what I was thinking of (if I was thinking of a specific word), but a good word for what I wanted. Thanks.
For something I was writing, I've been trying to think of a word. At least, I think there's a word. My agitated brain cells even think it starts with "c." Online thesauri have not been helpful.
FenelonSpoke, saw late that you had asked about my dad, who shares your bdy yesterday. I mentioned he would've been 98, but has been gone for 48 years.
HBD, FenelonSpoke (if you're still reading this stomped thread).
It's my Dad's bdy. He'd've been 98 if he'd lived.
J.J. Sefton: Today would have been by dad's 91st birthday. I miss that old boy.
Well, I get to the bottom of the post and there's no comments. I coulda been a contender if I hadn't stopped to read all that. Such a loss.
Who could ever have guessed that a thread about space travel on an AoSHQ thread would devolve into discussions about zero-G sex?
I did not see that coming.
Since the EMT is dead, this is the Current Thread, and we're over 100, o/t time?
Say, folks...
Back again.
That sure is a gray picture for what is (here) a bright and sunny morning! I've had enough gray from the last weeks rains and overcast, thanks.
Been fun hanging out this morning. Gotta head to The City for more fun with the family wot's in town. Maybe I'll let on as if I'm for Trump, just for fireworks' sake.
Survived the holiday feast and family. Sixteen folks and all enjoyed it. Despite ourselves. Much merriment.
Thanks for all your work, Maetenloch!
Toasts have been toasted. Family photos have been photographed. Turkey is cooked, dishes are heading for the buffet, smells are magnificent. About to dine.
Morning, Glories! I seem to have totally missed the morning thread again. A little extra sleep was worth it.
I think this is the third year that I've written up a long comment about my own lack of service and Viet Nam.
Vic: ...its all the cop's fault although here in SC they would have had to be doing something besides simple "fleeing" before the cops are allowed to use deadly force.
Ooops . Trivial Persuer, not Vic, on my last.
(Going for 2nd cuppa coffee)
Vic: Two LA cops who were trying to serve a warrant...
Louisiana, not Los Angeles. Abbvs cn b confusing.
I... I think I've caught up.
Now like the dog chasing the car and catches one, I don't know what to do. Guess I'll talk about...

Dear kids,
There is no "slippery slope."
Vertical cliff.
I read Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy back when I was in high school.
Jinx the Cat: Missouri... the curious collection of billboards advertising sex shops, gambling and Winston Churchill...
If anyone had read my comments this week, you would know that we're in Chicago for remembrance of my brother-in-law Vince.
Why do I think I can just quit this place?
Took in crazy-ass young female relative once (big mistake). Among other horror stories...
Well... as long as you have a good excuse... and you do!
If i haven't said it before, congratulations!
OM, I really appreciate your style of discussion that connects themes and casually incorporates the book links. Almost makes books seem like a normal part of life!
