transport
Checking in for a bit before heading to bed. (The discussion I saw earlier about young girls is over now, right? Please?)
Vic: 6 trucks and a car doesn't sound like a hunting accident. Dad's story is not plausible.
US Highway 75 is the corridor that connects here to Tulsa. It's how I go to visit Mom. Along the way is a major Wal-Mart distribution center, so you see their trucks constantly.
"The name doesn't ring many bells."
Geez, Krak. Way to honor the man with a big downer article. What is this, Monday?
Morning, glorious Earthlings!
...two air hostesses started arguing about 'work issues'. ... escalated into a fist fight ... A third female attendant, who tried to calm things down, was hit in the face.
Glad I lived long enough to see astronaut Chris Hadfield doing his version of Space Oddity ... in space. Kinda brought things full circle... or full orbit, or something.

I know what you're linking to without looking. And it was amazing.
Back from checking out the morning thread. Meh. No Vic News for Christmas Eve. Guess that's okay. He had to anniversarize, after all.

Bruce w/aW!: ...LOved seeing that big orange ball clearing and revealing an up right rocket....
Who could ever have guessed that a thread about space travel on an AoSHQ thread would devolve into discussions about zero-G sex?
I did not see that coming.
andycanuck: photo in thumbnail at Drudge a few days ago...
Okay, thanks for clue, andy. I did search Drudge front & archive, but maybe missed it.
Observations from the road
#2 - We noted as we traveled that they just aren't making the old single-floor drive-up-to-your-room motels anymore. They're building hotels.
Howdy, Horde! Homeward bound at last. Got some observations from the road to serve up while fresh in mind.
JohninMd: I say again, God DAMN you, Chris Muir, for making me react like my own flesh and blood are in that car…..
Just caught the last 3 days' worth - and glad I didn't see them on-time and have to wait for the next one. Seeing the kid in front of the car was truly scary.
Those are great. Really liked fail/win/fail. But I can compete with the "luckiest car owner."
It wasn't really that the coffeemaker was complicated. It's that it had old coffee grounds in the filter and yesterday's coffee still in the pot and I was busy reading the blog.
What I miss most, being on the road, is my dog. Next-most, this time of day, miss my own coffee! (Staring at strange coffeemaker in a friend's kitchen.
Morning, Glories!
Say a prayer for travelers. I'm on the road for the first time in over a decade.
I'd forgotten how horrible traveling can be!
Oh, I mean great.
"may the road rise to meet you"
American tourist claims he was held captive and sexually assaulted by his transexual Airbnb host
Boy, that's gonna end up with a one-star review!
Irresistable post-goodbye comment
Since I was a kid, I thought about future vehicles.
rickl, did you see the Smarter Every Day on the space launch failures?
Ray Van Dun: I have a bad feeling that some human error may have occurred...
Rocket went boom?
$Ow!! (Must be nice to have that kind of money to play with.)
Should have saved it for the 4th.
Flight attendants will need to start wearing body cams.
Airlines need to add in-cabin cameras.

Mileage-minding government?
Good questions by Conservative Crank.
Let's see...
dartist: One claimed that he knows a witness that saw the tracks swing out with the train that derailed and another that there is some sort of hook system on the cars and track that engage over
Andy:
Drivin' that train
High on cocaine
Casey Jones you better
Watch your speed ...
Isn't this, also, the story of our Presentdent?
