Heh. Deer snowplows.
I only read the intro paragraph so far, but before continuing to peruse this wondeful post, I pause to write:
These all brought a :) but the somber funeral made me
These are really great. Fishing polar bears was hilarious and ingenious. BoB, when did you find the time to get out and create all those clever snow sculptures? ;)
Went to daughter's ten thousandth performance in the Nutcracker (kidding - I've learned to enjoy it). Actually two, Sat. night and Sun. afternoon.
It's raining in NE OK. And lightninging and thundering. But no twisters at the moment, so it's all okay.
I plowed through JJ's morning headlines, and was about to comment that something must be very wrong if I was up and commenting before the art thread.
cth: You mean you AREN’T in charge of the weather?!
Who are you, one of my cats?? :)
I had just got through feeding our pack of four-footers, when I went online to find this fine documentary about life with cats! Cats, and whatever that thing is in the first pic.
Captain Whitebread #281: Why am I even posting this?
If you don't put down some pixels, nobody knows you're here.
Hey! I'm kinda early for the ahrt thread!
Stormy tonight, like April couldn't wait.
March came in all ovine,

It's a topsy-turvy world.

Good morning, you bitter, deplorable clingers.
Wind has shifted to out of the South. Next five days, temperatures rising into the 40s, 50s, 60s!

It got cold. I miss yesterday's 60° weather. Now we have to suffer through the arctic ravages until the next day in the 60s. Which should be a week from now.
One night in Chicago, I marched home in sub-zero weather, several miles. Fortunately, by that time, I had learned how to dress from head to toe for arctic conditions...
Willy J: ...people in the bar where we stopped wondered why I sat with my helmet on for 15 minutes before ordering a beer.
Logged back in and what do I read?
cthulhu #579: Brrrrr....tuckin' it in.
That's generally the best thing to do with it.
Hello again, Hordelings.
High in the 50s today, currently still 45 with fog. A beautiful autumnal evening, moonlight, stars.
Tomorrow night, 5° and snow. Oooooh!klahoma...
Just checked the forecast. It's been pretty chilly lately, so glad to see it's 36° ("feels like 28°") which is as cold as it will be tonight.
On the rare occasions when snow is a problem at Rancho Webworker, we just stock up beforehand and wait - never hangs around long in Oklahoma.

Get a chance to read whut I dun sentcha?
Jim, your email in nic is flonky (thinks it's an Ace URL) - but you can write me at webworker @ mindfulwebworks dot com. Actually, you can put just about anything before the @ and it'll get to me.
Jim: ...That right there, was a truly fine bit of reading, even if only a short paragraph's worth....
It's an inspiring Autumn storm.
Yuimetal: ...They should have physically interposed themselves between this bozo and the posters. Let her physically accost them, and then sue her ass into oblivion.
Got home a little earlier than usual (although not as early as I'd like to be our habit), to make sure the cats were able to come inside: The storm line that stretches from St Louis to Amarillo is
Hey, last I read this morning (wasn't it?), Jane D'oh had things crashing on her roof in the hurricane. Anyone know of further report?
Okay, just hurt my arm fighting the wild wind to close the front door. Think I'll head for bed and assess the wind damage in the daylight.
Dang! This is one of the most dramatic AND LOUD thunderstorms we've had in a long while.
