tornadoes
Not long after we moved to Oklahoma, we were driving the family up the highway to eat at a restaurant, when I noticed the sky in the West was getting sickeningly green and dangerous looking.
Belated response department
Me: ...Split the differences and come to Oklahoma...
Just watched the twister video. What a monster!
'Nader chasers are nuts.
Good ONT, Neid. Thanks. Cuddly ferrets and disembodied hearts, tornadoes and kitten.
And none of those boring "Quote of the day" things that other guy posts.
Top o' the evening, folks.
2nd morning in a row I've received a call from Virginia area code CVS pharmacy calling about a prescription for "Jennifer." Didn't answer; they left a message. Weird.

Figured you were okay, but glad to hear it from you.
Greetings, people of the gray boxes!
Hope our Sooner Moron friends are safe & sound
Tornado season has begun - one hit down in Tulsa today. Square mile clobbered, nine hurt, one critically. March came in like a lamb and is going out like a T Rex.
Good evening, survivors. Nice Christmastime days are over and colder temperatures and rain have moved into NE OK.
No tornadoes, though. God bless folks in Texas.
I meant, of course, "such thinking is un-likely to dissuade..."
Time for that 2nd cup of coffee already.
Carol: "My older brother doesn't want to move to TX because of the recent tornadoes!"
someoldguy: "Would not like to be down there in the spring."
Last night I posted:
Just drove home through wild wind & rain, listening to the radio guys talk about 70mph gusts and funnels spotted just a few miles south of us. Sweaty moments, but made it home.
Vic: "Hope all the Morons made it through the tornados in OK yesterday."
Up here in the NE corner of the state, we only saw a little wind & much-needed rain.
Called to check on Mom this afternoon, even though I knew she was fine.
She's been in Oklahoma just about all of her 92 years (except some of WW2 in Kansas City, IIRC).
Morning, Glories!
Yesterday we had temps almost to 80°F. Then the rain, and north wind, and we dropped almost to the 30s.
One dead in a trailer park (a/k/a 'nader bait), SW of Tulsa. Multiple injuries. Twister took same path as devastating Moore, OK, hit several years back, but not as bad.
By the way, Pete, following up on your "Bad Thing" after not being served any L or T on your BLT…
Vic: "I have heard that the strata in OK has a hard stone layer you have to blast through to dig a storm shelter so they are very expensive."
Lizzy: "Hey, no Hector this morning....Nice"
Keerful.
In Tulsa, a proposed new building will be in the shape of a tornado.
Peaches - We don't build well, is the sad thing. Big bad wolf blows down our houses of sticks and straw every time. And brick and stone.
((Blows in without reading anything))
Just watched some tornado footage, thought I'd share.
Slow news day. Oklahoma quakes make top of Drudge.
Used to be just tornadoes here in Oklahoma. Now one gets the choice of shaken or stirred.

The moon glows through thinning clouds, the air fresh and foggy after the storms. So beautiful a Spring night here in NE Oklahoma. We had some strong winds, a little hail, but the worst dodged us.
