Oklahoma
anon a mouse: Thought it would be warmer.
Heh. I have a theory it's all these people moving from colder climes, dragging the weather with them.
Says here it's 49°F in NE Okla. Forecast does not show any more temps in the 40s. Sure would be nice to leave the furnace off now, finally. O'course, next week I'll complain about the 80° days.

Last night I posted:
Just drove home through wild wind & rain, listening to the radio guys talk about 70mph gusts and funnels spotted just a few miles south of us. Sweaty moments, but made it home.

Reading along, got up to #100, decided I'd check in before the next thread went up.

Heh. Not sure the bravest would be up to that challenge!

Vic: "Hope all the Morons made it through the tornados in OK yesterday."
Up here in the NE corner of the state, we only saw a little wind & much-needed rain.
I walked out into the yard, admiring the beautiful Spring morning. The neighbor was out, too, and she asked, had we heard about the explosion in Oklahoma City?
Very pretty.
Called to check on Mom this afternoon, even though I knew she was fine.
She's been in Oklahoma just about all of her 92 years (except some of WW2 in Kansas City, IIRC).
Morning, Glories!
Yesterday we had temps almost to 80°F. Then the rain, and north wind, and we dropped almost to the 30s.
One dead in a trailer park (a/k/a 'nader bait), SW of Tulsa. Multiple injuries. Twister took same path as devastating Moore, OK, hit several years back, but not as bad.
By the way, Pete, following up on your "Bad Thing" after not being served any L or T on your BLT…

"The merry-go-round has recently been rehabbed," I wrote above.
Vic: "I have heard that the strata in OK has a hard stone layer you have to blast through to dig a storm shelter so they are very expensive."
Carol, before you make your final decision to become a Texan, consider this quaint little chateau in Oklahoma City.
But it's not all deprivation and destitution in Oklahoma, like that OKC house. Why, right here in the old home town, we have an actual amusement park with the famous "FireBall" roller coaster.
Does this bathroom hark back to the Dumbo flying elephants on parade sequence discussion the other day? Oh, no, I know, the kaleidoscopes discussion.
Lizzy: "Hey, no Hector this morning....Nice"
Keerful.
In Tulsa, a proposed new building will be in the shape of a tornado.

Vic: "...there is a major campaign on by the anti-death penalty advocates t eliminate the death penalty by forcing the drug makers to quit producing the drugs.
I see that of Oklahoma's six congresscritters, only Tom Cole voted for amnesty. There's always one, even now that there aren't any Dems.
