Our five month puppy decided at 0430 to save us from the three rabid deer on the other side of the fence. Howl then furious bark.

Outside my front door, dog paw prints lead out, about the length of a dog, then turn back. Inside, inverted pattern of snowy paw prints on the mat.

Occurs to me, just maybe, our representatives in government make budgetary processes needlessly difficult.
Also, I've noticed that when it rains, the sidewalk gets wet.
The elder dog kind of shriveled up and was soon gone. In retrospect, I think the elder dog was so used to being the queen of the castle, having a new dog come in may have broken her heart.

There were half a dozen deer out by the gravyard. Then the dog saw them. Now they're all gone.
