Speaking of mangled music...
It's awful... but we had fun.
Zombie: ..."his" probably started life as "him's" way back when, and evolved to be a "new" word once it got slur-shortened.
Speaking of not downloading videos and missing half the fun on the ONT...
You know, I wasn't going to mention it, but exhaustion and the rum have overwhelmed my good judgment...
Noises intended to be music, croakings intended to be song, premiere episode of a threatened series
Cactus of Liberty #350:
I've often pondered just what "Teen Spirit" Smells Like?
Wow. Strip Polka.
I'm going to go 'way out on a limb here and guess the Andrews Sisters never did that one on Lawrence Welk.

whilst thou canst not always obtain what thou desirest,
if thou triest sometimes,

For many years, I had an Akai(?) reel-to-reel with auto-reverse. Put on a reel of recorded music and it would play both sides of the tape. I wonder what I ever did with that wonderful machine?
Your "eau de irony" news for the night:
A rapper on Chicago's South Side was shot and killed early Tuesday morning while rapping about guns for a music video in a local park.
Hello, again, Late Night Morons.
Home late. Rain here has been gentle, not flooding as anticipated. Wet enough that the dog smells like a wet dog, though.
Driving home tonight, we heard Schubert's Piano Trio in B♭ - I think that's what the DJ said.

Thanks.
Howdy, overly sober evening folk!
My current drink is a Red Stripe. Still celebrating beer day.
I think this means I need a doobie, some reggae music, and dreadlocks.
Well, rolled through the comments.
Learned some things I'm glad to have learned.
Learned some things I hope I can forget.
Off to bed, then.
"Heavy Metal" - that's the big-band sounding pseudo-rock music with brass instruments, like Chicago and Blood, Sweat, & Tears, right?
Reading upthread, found YouTube of Temptations My Girl, listening to that now. Man, my youth was full of good music. Come to think of it, so is my old age.
Reading upthread:
Mike Hammer #305 Since you probably haven't heard it this year, Gene Autry singing 'Here Comes Peter Cottontail'
An Poc ar Buile: The Dubliners did have Dublin accents, which are difficult for Irish people outside Dublin in general. Still, they're fun.
Irish version of cockney?
Go ahead, ignore me. I'm used to it on the ONT. Don't mean nothing, right? Everybody's floating along.
Listening to McAlpine's Fusiliers.
Home, where the cats are. And I can finally relax.
White Room video - heh.
Post-parting thought, listening to Levin's show...
Why is it bagpipes are the most annoying instrument ever invented by humankind...
Hi again.
Something Milady heard on the radio tonight. Thought I'd share.
Christopher Taylor: ...My favorite "do they even know what they are singing?" moment...
RIP Glenn Frey
Also Dale Griffin, Mott the Hoople drummer, dies at 67.
RIP Robert Stigwood, Bee Gees manager...
Was it his idea for them to morph from one of the odder folkie vocal groups to disco?
The fact is … “The Twelve Days of Christmas” is just a traditional counting song whose only saving grace is that it’s not as long or as annoying as “99 Bottles of Beer.”
exdem13, back in the #300s: Seventies pop absolutely full of downer tear-jerker songs. Bread made an entire career of them....
