Had at least three toys with "dangerous" heating elements: Thingmaker, Vac-u-form, and a cotton-candy maker. Played with them for hours, unsupervised, never got burned.

But it's not all deprivation and destitution in Oklahoma, like that OKC house. Why, right here in the old home town, we have an actual amusement park with the famous "FireBall" roller coaster.
Daughter, Milady, and I just recently watched the first Hopalong Cassidy TV show. Didn't seem to be cut up from a movie, but I hadn't been thinking about it.

I'm ribbin' ya, Pete. Surely I've mentioned I was condemned to Beloit for my college years. I left when I discovered that "four-year" college kept changing things so I'd be there much longer.
