Police in Oklahoma say that at least five people have been arrested in association with sexual crimes against children. Fox 23 News reports that among those people arrested, four mothers were taken into police custody.… Authorities say that three of the four mothers were aware of the sexual abuse… one of the women… allegedly joined in…

"The grandmother, Geneva S. Robinson, 49, of Oklahoma City, was arrested and charged with 13 counts of child abuse and six counts of child neglect. Her boyfriend also has been charged. … terrorized and tortured the girl by dressing as a witch… victim was hit, kicked, scratched, whipped, burned and forced to sleep in the garage or outside with the dogs. …denied adequate food and medical care… not allowed to go to school. … nurse described the girl as so thin she looked like a Holocaust victim." Child endangerment charges have been filed against an Uptown [Chicago] couple accused of flying to Las Vegas and leaving their two children, 12 and 9, home alone for nearly two days.
Two northern Arizona parents have been arrested after photos of their children allegedly being abused were posted on Facebook. ... children, ages 2 years and 10 months... bound with duct tape around their wrists and ankles. Their mouths were taped shut, and one of the children was hung upside down by some exercise equipment.... "The photos depicted the children's faces in sheer terror," says Cmdr. Gilliland....

A controversial IVF lottery will launch in Britain this month giving prospective parents the chance to win thousands of pounds toward expensive fertility treatments in top clinics. The scheme, which the media have dubbed "win a baby," has already run into trouble on ethical grounds with critics calling it inappropriate and demeaning to human reproduction.

Their announcement was met with stony silence. Then the deluge of criticisms began. Not just about Storm, but about how they were parenting their other two children.
Timothy, who is about 4 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 70 pounds, was last heard from May 13 during a cellphone call with a relative, authorities said. At the time, he was near Sterling and Rock Falls with his mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen. The next day, Fry-Pitzen's body was found in a Rockford motel room, where she apparently had committed suicide. Fry-Pitzen stated in a note that she'd left Timothy with adults she didn't identify.
