…On this day in 1980 eight U.S. servicemen died in Operation Eagle Claw as they attempted to end the Iran hostage crisis. We had a coop student at the time who said his father was on that mission and the whole thing was a CF because everybody wanted a piece of the pie and there was no coordination. Of course it was setup in the Jimmy Peanut WH.
