Pope Wants to Change Lord's Prayer

Star Bright

Pope Francis has suggested he wants to make a change to The Lord's Prayer… he would prefer to adjust the phrase “lead us not into temptation,” saying that it too strongly suggested that God leads people to sin.…

Much as I dislike most of what I've heard from this Pope, on this one, I'm in agreement. This one bothered me as a little kid, for just these reasons. When I got older, I assumed it was something distorted in translation.

One of several reasons I appreciate the "original" version as allegedly revealed in the Urantia papers.

Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come; your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our bread for tomorrow;
Refresh our souls with the water of life.
And forgive us every one our debts
As we also have forgiven our debtors.
Save us in temptation, deliver us from evil,
And increasingly make us perfect like yourself.
