The British government is financing the construction of a “big new wall” along the motorway that leads to the Channel Tunnel near Calais. The concrete wall will be half a mile long and thirteen feet high, and is designed to deter would-be migrants from climbing into lorries bound for Britain. Construction work on it may begin this month.

In other news, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering an offer by Russian President Vladimir Putin to host talks in Moscow between the Israelis and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.…
