…On this day in 1770 the Boston Massacre occurred in which five colonists were fatally shot by British troops in an event that would contribute to the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War five years later. Most school children are not taught that the crowd that the British troops shot into instigated the event.

The states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar) have declared Hezbollah to be a terrorist organization. The GCC took this action in response to the recruitment of young men in their countries for acts of terror.
In other news, Jesse Matthew Jr. pleaded guilty today to the murder of two co-eds in Charlottesville, Virginia. He received four life sentences, in addition to the three he is currently serving for a rape committed in Northern Virginia.…
As French police began demolishing the migrant shantytown known as “The Jungle” near Calais, residents of the camp began torching their shanties to protest the demolition. Meanwhile, 7,000 desperate migrants have backed up on the border between Greece and Macedonia. Conditions along the border are worsening, with shortages of food and water, and deteriorating sanitation.
In other news, “Super Tuesday” primaries have brought additional victories to the front-runners, Hillary Clinton for the Democrats, and Donald Trump for the Republicans. Mr. Trump looks to have won all the states except for Oklahoma and Texas (which went to Ted Cruz) and Minnesota (which went to Marco Rubio). …
…On this day in 1873 Congress passed the Comstock Law which made it illegal to send obscene material through the US mail. That began the long and tortuous path to define what obscene meant. The federal obscenity laws were finally repealed in the 70s.…
A TV crew for the Australian program “60 Minutes” was attacked by culture-enrichers in Rinkeby, a suburb of Stockholm. The Australians were visiting Rinkeby to investigate the subject of immigration into Sweden, and the residents of Rinkeby — most of whom have a “migration background” — took exception to what the outsiders were doing, and attacked them. They ran over the foot of a cameraman with a vehicle, but he was not seriously injured.
In other news, a Christian student at Sheffield University in England was expelled for posting a message on Facebook opposing gay marriage.…

The well-known American chanteuse Madonna may be banned from the Philippines for draping herself in the country’s flag at a show in Manila last week. It is against Philippine law to use the national flag as an article of clothing. Violators may receive up to a year in jail.
In other news, a female police officer was shot and killed in Prince William County, Virginia, while answering a call about a domestic dispute during her first day on the job. Two of her fellow officers were seriously wounded. The suspected perpetrator had already killed his wife before police arrived at his house.…

The Belgian government is planning to establish “refugee” quotas for cities and towns. Belgian municipalities that fail to take in their designated allotments will be fined €75 per migrant per day.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven says that his government is bracing for chaos when the next wave of “refugees” arrive. Sweden is preparing a new backup plan, but the EU is not cooperating — making future chaos that much more likely.

Austria convened a summit yesterday in Vienna on migration via the “Balkan Route”. The other countries participating in the confab were Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz were the principal speakers. Greece was not invited. In response to the snub, Greece withdrew its ambassador from Vienna.

In other news, Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission, acknowledged that he has a dispute with Austria over the latter’s new policy of capping the number of migrants that enter the country. A 14-year-old girl carrying two knives went on a stabbing rampage in a Toronto high school, wounding eight people. The alleged suspected perpetrator is now in custody. Victims were apparently selected at random, and no motive has been established, but the attacker reportedly wore a long black coat, and was known to change her first name frequently.
In other news, the Slovenian parliament has approved the use of army troops to supplement the border police and help protect the country’s borders.…
The Finnish movement “Soldiers of Odin” has spread to Norway, where a group by that name is now patrolling the streets to protect native Norwegians against immigrant violence.
In other Norwegian news, Prime Minister Erna Solberg warns that Norway will have to abandon international law if the political order in Sweden collapses. Any mass influx of refugees across the border from Sweden will cause Norway to withdraw from the Schengen Agreement and the Geneva Convention, and all migrants coming from Sweden will be deported without being allowed to apply for asylum.…
