Whenever I hear about weather records broken in America

"Sunday was the coldest March day here in KC since they started keeping records in the 1880's...."

In Japan, they have records thousands of years old. In Europe, many hundreds of years of recorded history. Humanity itself practically just got here, in geologic terms.

So, whenever I hear about weather records broken in America, and much moreso in Okla., which was only Euro-settled in the 1890s, I hear the chuckling of ancient AmerIndian souls, and they whisper, "you have no idea...."
