Mechanical? Uninspired? A degree of technical proficiency is frequently mistaken for actual mastery.
(I, webworker, armchair critic and amateur torturer of the 88s,would trade a significant body part for a drop of Mozart's ability. Or would have, back when my life was ahead of me and it might have mattered.)
