Scanned My Lottery Ticket And Confirmed That I Had Won
The guy at the little store scanned my lottery ticket and confirmed that I had won $400. But, he said, they didn't have that kind of money to spare, I'd have to redeem it elsewhere.
I grabbed some candy on the way out the door. It came to $6.01. I had a five, ones, and a ten. The lady behind me in line handed up a penny so I didn't have to break the ten.
As I was walking out the door, I woke up. I didn't have a $400 dollar winning ticket and I didn't have any candy.
