The other day, Pete remarked something about my being a "consummate professional.".
For some reason that keeps haunting to me. I keep ruminating about what kind of "pro" Pete might think I am, and I always end up concluding that it must be some kind of snark, since I'm not a "professional" anything unless one counts "failure," but I didn't get paid for that, either.
Out of nowhere came a man with a miraculous message.
