I love my daughter.

My daughter was at Whole Foods, looking at some socks, and sighing. Another shopper nearby apologized for being in the way or something, my daughter said, no, no, I was just looking at these socks.

Ended up, my daughter explained, "I like these socks, but the label says they're made with 'wind energy.'" The other customer drew a blank.

So my daugher explained, she can't think of wind power without thinking of all the dead birds, especially the eagles. The other customer had never heard of this.

Before they were through, several other customers and an employee were involved in the conversation, all of them thinking how great wind power is, none of them having Clue One about the true costs, until that moment.
