Won't Cook Themselves

Milady is up! I told her, good, because the black-eye peas she put on to soak last night won't cook themselves.

Told her Grampa Jimbo says you only need to soak 'em 4 hours, not overnight. (Adding, yeah, but you gotta wait four hours with that method versus sleeping through it.)

Milady replies, well, there's always the quick-soak method: Bring the peas and water to a boil, boil for about two minutes, cover tightly, turn off heat, and let soak for an hour.

FYI for those of y'all who forgot to set 'em to soak overnight.
