Vaccines are a turning point in human history.

I need to sit down with Mom and have her relate again for the record what it was like when my eldest brother got polio, how their polio insurance ('til it ran out) made a difference in treatment, about his hanging out with other kids who were in iron lungs, and how he got past it. He lived, until cancer and med malpractice got him last year.

My folks were especially relieved when the vaccine came along.
