Thrust Media

I know I've said this before, but. No antenna-TV. No cable-TV. No satellite-TV. I don't even watch TV series from the undernet anymore. Can't recall how many years. But, then, I pretty much quit watching regular TV news back during Cronkite's day. Seriously, you guys.

When I go to some public place, or to someone's house, where there's Thrust Media playing, it's actually a little bit of a cultural shock. Like visiting a hoarder's house, or a meth den, or people with children in public schools; I wonder, why do you subject yourself to this?

My give-a-poop meter for Mass Media being unplugged and sitting on top of the dusty 30yo CRT-TV in the back room, I only know anything about the likes of Chris Matthews, Angelina Jolie, or Sharknado because of the alert and sharing bloggers and commenters on Blogs Like This (ha). Consequently, I know more than I'd choose to.

I need to be reminded periodically that Lesser Mortals are still heavily influenced by those 20th Century media sources. And the middle class.
