The first X-Ray photo
On this day in 1896 the first X-Ray photo was taken by H.L. Smith. It was of a hand with a bullet in it.

Held in hand, or penetrated?
Today is also the birthday of the infinitely patient Mrs. Webworker. She may not post here herself, but she has given me my better comments, and laughs and cries and prays along with the horde, via me. She also actually reads the AoS posts, so I can find out what those say.... 
She's the reader. I keep telling her she ought to get into the book thread.
Today's doodle (nic link) is a slightly manipulated photo of hers, and below that on the page is a photo of hers posted last year. I'd like to get her photographs up for the world to see. Maybe this year.
