"Sears Kenmore"

Was changing the filter on the furnace and looked at the "Sears Kenmore" nameplate on the 22-year-old unit. Sighed. Won't easily get parts now, I presume.

Keeps right on heating, although one of the four burners sometimes needs to be encouraged to light. Our repairman (who installed it) has replaced the manifold and otherwise fiddled with it, but problem persists. Still, cheaper to hassle with it than to replace the unit!

Now, watch, having praised the old thing, I'll go home tonight to discover it has died. Please, Lord, no! 5°F predicted for the weekend!
