Folks here who identify with the resentment of the loyal son, just like in the parable?
Jesus sure had a knack for nailing it.
The loyal son's dutifulness was not unappreciated, but he was self-centered and resentful instead of joyous at the return of the wayward brother.
Faithful in duty but loveless in heart is not familial at all. Which was the "lost" son at that point?
I hope he got over it.
