There was that day -- August 1991? -- when Gorbachev,who had been blocked by the Old Guard, returned to Moscow -- the end of the Soviet Union.
Milady and I were at O'Hare, meeting an elderly gentleman about a business deal, when that broke on the TVs. Our acquaintance remarked that he remembered the first time.
Took us a beat to realize he meant 1917.
Out of nowhere came a man with a miraculous message.
