Faithful Acknowledgements

Busy week. I've been lurking in the PoliNation garden, but not quite been up to commentin' much.

I want to thank everyone — thanks! — who replied about the kitty Faithful's death on an earlier thread. In the past several months, we've lost old Jack the big guy and fluffy little Faithful the kitten-size gal. We're down to four normal-size short-hairs.

We haven't had only four cats since the first litter of barn cats the kids carried home just about one year after we moved. There was a second litter with three more just a few weeks later, and we never lacked for kitties since then.

Milady and I were with Faithful and I was staring into her eyes when the lights went out — not the first time I've seen that with a cat. So often, we think, if we'd just realized the signs, done something more. I've been meaning to get a picture of Faithful up, but, like I said busy week. Brain still not firing on all cylinders.
