An Upstroke Before the Start of the Measure

Seamus Muldoon #99: That wasn't an extra beat. In flat-picking terms that was an upstroke before the start of the measure. A lead-in syllable, perfectly allowable.

So it was a lyric, not a strict limerick? Um.. okay.

And, yeah, I've written a lot of lyrics employing that same excuse. Didn't know it was calledan "upstroke." I thought that was what Hillary had.
