Daughter had early-Thanksgiving dinner with friends tonight. Brought us leftover pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes.

Somehow, a scoop of mashed potatoes on pie is just not quite the same as ice cream....

Milady & I have been trying to recall for hours... There was an exchange linked last night, or this morning... I think it was here on AoS... (So very much stuff goes by in a day! Interwebz overload!)

...anyway, the reply tweet was "you & your bf use condoms, right?" and she tweets "LOL yea why?" -- but I can't remember the ditzy set-up line. Anyone recall?

Whhheeewwww! :D Started out yesterday afternoon to get caught up on PoliNation posts & comments I'd missed during a long period of "technical difficulties," real-life (offline) "distractions," and so on preventing my following most of my blogs & newsfeeds.

I can't say I read every word of every post and comment, nor watched every video, but I'm just now caught up on what I missed--over 100 posts and close to 200 comments since Oct 30. (Excepting a few posts after the election which I'd read & on which I commented.)

General observations:

I was reminded why I follow PoliNation. From the serious news to the silly stuff, it's informative and entertaining. Also reminded what a nice thing it is to have chrissy back in force!!

After reading all his grumbling & grousing leading up to the election, I've decided Pete's pessimism was required -- like Cubs fans who (before the Series) would not say anything positive and hopeful, lest it curse the outcome. Thanks, Pete, for ensuring the Clintons lost! ;)

Also, the posts & comments after the election -- just as elsewhere on the alternative media right -- were like the change from black-and-white Kansas to Technicolor Oz. Like a brilliant dawn after a long winter's night. Long, long, eight years' long winter night.

Keep up the great work, and, Pete, give 'em heck at the hospital and come back to us fired up and ready for more.

Hi, y'all. Just checking in briefly as usual lately, to keep my online persona copyrighted.

Daughter insisted on treating Milady & me to see Dr Strange in 3D tonight. Thank you, dear daughter!

1. It was maybe the 3rd 3D movie I've seen. Last one was Spy Kids 3D when our kids were still kids. Previously was when I was younger than our kids are now -- um, what was it? The Stewardesses (X)? -- which story I think I related in comments long ago. Ah, yes, here it is from last Feb 1:

2. Glad to have seen Strange in 3D -- if I MUST go out and mingle with The Public, instead of the comfort of my own home set-up where I can break anytime for beer or bathroom, at least it's for something I can't get at home - 3D & mighty big screen. First time in a theater since Capt America the first one.

3. I know Ace insists that we must boycott Marvel-DC-Disney-Time-Warner-CNN-ABC Conglomerated, but, but... Doctor Strange! My formative yout' experience was largely shaped by that Great Moralist, Steve Ditko, and I was glad to see him get a credit - wonder if he gets a dime from this.

4. All the comic book superduper movies & tv shows are so rushed! Ditko took, like, a year, from an initial battle with Mordo, passing through many psychedelic dimensions, until Strange's big showdown with Dormammu. Build the suspense, weave the story, develop the character... no, none of that, just slam bam thank ye ma'am. Well, have to appeal to the Tweet-attention-span generation I guess.

Guess I'd better end here before I have an almost Ace-lengthy flick review.
