In my current spate of commenting, I have embedded two videos, including one of my own. So, rather than clutter the blog with another, I'll just give you the link. Preview of my Christmas Webworkshop (not safe for Santa-believing tykes).

Forgive me for posting one of my own videos? It's short.
There was a disturbance after the Wisconsin EC vote.
A trio of psychiatrists has sent a letter to President Barack Obama…
They misspelled "psychotics".
Have to confess, the sissy and the spider was the only video I watched - wondering if there was quite a bit going on before this starts, or does someone just whip out their camera every time they get to the delivery window?
I did see pix of the firecracker guy's burns. A real "here, hold my beer" moment. Some wag on Ace remarked, I can almost guarantee you there is no Mrs. Firecracker Vest Guy.
The bicycle one, which I may go back and watch, reminds me of several such butt-clenching stunts I've seen folks do - on thin mountain trails and such. And also of this one:
Wow, dusty in here. Thanks for this, Pete!
A few small errors in the transcript - which I really appreciated, btw - most not worth mentioning, but a few that matter, if someone want to tweak it:
• Paragraph 1, the only really significant meaning error:
haven’t been prouder to being a Marine
should be
have been prouder of being a Marine
• At the end of Paragraph 3 should be:
Your candor and your honesty from both of you men is much needed in this day and time.
• Paragraph 6:
this fight for our country
should be
this fight to restore our country
• and
So many blessings I have known
should be
So many wonderful blessings I have known and so many kind and loving people in this country whom I have met during my fight for this country.
Thanks again, PP.

A preview/taste of Mindful Webworkshop #16, Christmas Edition:
Anonosaurus Wrecks #28: Glenn Beck is appearing on Samantha B this evening.
Must-not-see TV!
The two Christmas musical selections: Not a dig at the post author, but, did you notice how dumb it is to post a VIDEO which is just a photo (or a series of stills) when all you really want is the audio?
Where's the audio-only YouSpeaker that's easily embedded, universally playable, and video-free?
(Say those of us who remember how valuable data download time is.)
Oh, well. So many digital windmills to be tilted at.
HOWDY, HAPPY HORDE!
It's Election Day all over again. Liberal tears a-flowing like the Mississippi at flood stage. HAHAHAHHHAA!

"They work tongue-in-cheek together"?? Heh. Probably not the first commenter to note that this is the wrong use of the phrase, but I kinda like it.
I couldn't help myself. Okay, I could, but why should I?

When I first read this, I wanted to comment, but couldn't quite put together a coherent thought. (Probably due to the Arctic temperatures, now waning.) But I now have some borrowed thought, from a couple of commenters today at Ace.
Bishop Fulton Sheen (paraphrase): "There are probably not one in a thousand people who hate the Catholic Church, but there are thousands of people who hate what they think is the Catholic Church."
and
I forget who it was, Chesterton probably, who said, and I paraphrase, "Christianity hasn't been tried and found wanting, it has been found difficult and not tried."
I gather that Sheen is on the sainthood path. Has there ever been a saint who had a TV show?
My bedside anime toy is calling me to bed now, whispering how warm it will be under the covers, so I guess I'll miss the Yoko Ono singalong marathon.
May God arise, may his enemies be scattered;
may his foes flee before him.
May you blow them away like smoke--
as wax melts before the fire,
may the wicked perish before God.
But may the righteous be glad
and rejoice before God;
may they be happy and joyful.
and party on, dudes.

That's the one that ran in "TV Guys" magazine, right? (IYKWIMAITTYD)
Okay, all the party poopers are gone. Bring out the good stuff.

Reminded me that this afternoon I was behind a car which had this markered on its rear window:
Honk if your horny
Grammar Nitpicker mode kicked in and I didn't know whether to honk or not because I couldn't figure out, if my horny what?

I'm back, I'm home, and it's good.

Another oddball Christmas movie: Mixed Nuts. Your basic psycho killer holiday comedy.

Hey, I've got to go home and see if the pipes are still frozen. First time in 22 years living there. Forgot to leave a tap dripping. Got a space heater on I hope is thawing everything out and we don't have leaks. I won't ask for prayers, but you can send warm thoughts.

I could watch Sim's Christmas Carol, the original Miracle on 34th, and Wonderful Life every year. Scrooged is up high on the list.
And
Not necessarily my favorite, but I enjoyed Ernest Saves Christmas. Plenty goofy with some good bits.
Also not an annual must-see, but I can re-watch Santa Clause if it's been long enough since I last saw it. Not the sequels, though.
Hm. I think I'd like to dig through the files and find "A Pinky & the Brain Christmas." I recall it being pretty good.
Is that an eclectic enough list fer yez?
Elf is most pop Christmas flick in Oklahoma??
Never seen it. Milady's never seen it. Nobody I know has ever seen it.
Well, not like I know anybody, but, yeah.
Sherry McEvil: If you had any thought about missing Mooch...
Oh, man! Talk about not recognizing those words in that order!!
But, meh, two million here, two million there, pretty soon you're talking about the Obama's petty cash fund (citizen-supplied).
