Ah, and I just asked in the previous thread, and here we receive! Yay, hard-workin’ Pete!
This was too good not to share. c/o commenter “ribbey” on Conservative Treehouse.

Family man. Obviously:
“Sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. That’s not a choice we want Americans to make."
Clue: He probably just doesn't want those women to be "punished with a baby."
I left the Real Computer (real as it is) early last night, and got back to it late this afternoon. HUNDREDS of items in my newsfeeds, and that's without counting the hundreds more comments in the Open Threads I follow because they have great links.
Lots, lots, lots of Halloween pix & vids, yet, oddly, not much that made me think of forwarding to PoliNation. Pete already cornered the market on all the good stuff.
Will there be a final Halloween post today? I do have a couple of links.
Step back and take a deep breath, Pete says. Then he hits us right off the top with jokes about fatties and women. Well, fat women and women.
But in the comments, he really unleashes. Homosexual spat, divorce "humor," dog poop, another homosexual spat, and a hooker. This, on top of the previous thread's atrocious naked old "man," horsepucky, and Donna Brazile.
I'm thinking maybe this isn't really the child-friendly place it's advertised to be. :)
Gooood evening, PoliNationals.
(Seriously, great posts, Pete.)
Hello, dead thread.
I joked, "ALWAYS four-digit years, whatever the format - no more Y2Ks!
"
SE Pa Moron replied, "You must be planning on living a long, long life if you're worrying about that..."
Funny. Of course, the date is not always current.
10/10/10
Which century is that? 1910? 2010?
'Nuff said. ![]()
Multitudes of computer files with dates in the filenames. To sort chronologically requires the date to be yyyy-mm-dd. Cannot write dates any other way anymore.
My 2¢ worth.
ALWAYS four-digit years, whatever the format - no more Y2Ks! ![]()
I always wanted to be poplar, like the cool kids.
Morning, Glories!
Usually, I detect that troll before completing reading the first sentence of its comments, and skip the rest. But I can't avoid it all.
As the morning has worn on, I hear the troll's voice getting shriller, squeakier, and higher, like The Fly.

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

Bad News:
"The terrorists Obama has been releasing from GITMO have returned to the battlefield fighting for ISIS..."
Good news:
They can once again be killed on the battlefield.

The awful Halloween costumes link has auto-play ad, I found out by forgetting to turn off Plug-Ins and JavaScript.
I can't believe it. I write a comment on the last post, finally, and Boom! ONT.
Whee! ONT! Less than 10? Or did I take too long writing this?
Now to check the post.
Then, probably, Good Night, Gracies.
tinfoil baby: "...When I was a youngster and in Nebraska it was 19. Across the river in Iowa it was 18 for 3.2 beer. How bout you?"
Went to college in Blotch,* Wisconsin, walking distance from South Blotch, Illinois. The "better" greasy pizza place was in South Blotch, of course, which is where my frat brothers (corrupters of my innocence) insisted I give up the Dr Pepper and start drinking beer. Thing is, at 18, I was legal to drink in Wisc. but not in Illinois (21). Never seemed to matter.
Always wondered what the law was if I straddled the state line with a beer in the "legal side" hand.
*Name changed to protect me.

Well, I might not usually mention this, but in the spirits (boo!) of the season, Cassadaga, Florida, "psychic-spiritism capital of the world." Link is to Weird Universe with two videos. First video has a warm-voiced announcer describing the place; promo video. Second video, uh, ten minutes; watched the beginning. Seems to be an individual filming the "Casadega Spiritualist Camp" — on Friday the 13th — with somewhat less admiring approach, and a soundtrack that occasionally sounds like tortured cats on helium.
White House says Democrats will lose the Senate because they didn't snuggle up to the Prez. National Journal c/o Mr. Ace of Spades who rightly calls this "delusional."
