I was in high school when the late '60s riots were going on. I've lived through decades of 'restive' troubles. Now, we didn't have the Net - just the laughingstock media - in years past, but, even allowing for media changes, it's my observation this is the least spontaneous, most totally manufactured, and above all most preventable 'civil disturbance' I've ever seen.

I know it's believable, but are we just taking the Iranian wormtongue's word on Boehner?

I just want to note for the record that, as far as I can tell, no looting or rioting took place in the vicinity of our farm last night.

We did hear some coyotes, but Defender Dog barked and took care of that.

Driving home night before last, tuned in to ABC radio news on the hour, then CBS's. Both led with the 'delay' in the GJ findings. Both said it was about a policeman shooting "an unarmed teenager."

Thankfulness is the theme of the week.

Be grateful; things could always get worse.

Some of my woolly socks are 'Dickies' brand. Across the top of each foot is their logo. The dot on the lower-case letter 'i' - stitched in the wool - could be easily mistaken for a lower-case L. And the way the logo sits, could have an additional 's' at the end. Who wants to wear socks that, when you look down at your feet, it says, 'Dickless'?!?

I don't see a problem here. We have tried, true, and ancient methods for dealing with those who reject law. Funny, though, I haven't been reading that these methods have been being employed there in Furgeson.
