Someonesomewhere commented that this PP interest in harvesting organs suggests they’d prefer the later term abortion, the better; and they might even encourage delays, to allow for fetal development.

Oddly, no projection of “legal, safe, early, and rare abortion” that was sold to us back in the ’70s envisioned late-term abortions or “partial-birth” infanticide, much less an industry that needs machines custom engineered to vacuum out fetus organs without damaging them!

Two threads back, that good morning message from "the bees" to which no one responded? Yeah, that was me. Didn't even notice the nic until now. Just FTR. Y'all talk too much when I don't have time to keep up.

J.J. Sefton: I only added mugwump to the M List because someone here was hocking-a-chainik over my head to add it.

Ahem... I'm right hee-rre. From hocking-a-chainik I don't know, but I think I'm the one who suggested mugwump.

I'd reiterate the definition, but what am I, Google?

Morning, Glories!

At my mom's house and just had breakfast after an early-morning swim, and the coffee's brewing. I've had worse moments.

Say, by the way,

Not because Hat is a SJW or anything (The Social Justice Hat?) but because he makes it his mission to expose this stuff to daylight by retweeting or linking the madness. I remember one that he retweeted...

...where did I get the impression that the Hat was female? From Hat, I thought; I remember being surprised to find that out, a while back. Did I find out wrong?

Not that there's anything wrong with tHat....

And we're all gender-fluid inside the gray boxes.

Okay, maybe I shoulda said "Didn't" instead of "Couldn't."

Weirddave: ...If someone claims that your normal behavior or beliefs offends them, the correct response is "Too bad". ...

TrivialPursuer: May I say "suck it up, buttercup!" instead, because I just like saying that so much more.

I was thinking I'd save this for the Book Thread tomorrow, but it seems relevant here. Replace "micro-trauma" with "micro-aggressions."

[quote]
When you exercise fairly hard, you stress your muscles. You drain them of energy stores, and you actually injure them slightly. The stress of exercise is good, because it tears you down to build you back up a little stronger. You wear out little bits that need to be replaced after each use, requiring lots of fine tuning and minor repairs. This type of injury is called adaptive micro-trauma, and its critical to your growth and health. ...
[endquote]

(Pointed out to me by Milady, from Younger Next Year for Women by Chris Crowly and Henry S Lodge, MD)

I presume the parallel requires no explication. "Microaggressions" should make you stronger. Healthy thinking is to develop resilience. The regressives argue for perpetual butthurtedness instead.

Hey, um, own-horn-tooting time. Yesterday, first time since September, I put up a video. Simply played around with the clip of Major Garrett poking at the Moloch Worshiper in the White House. I had fun anyway. Visit the webpage. Leave comments. Make donations. Make it viral on socialist media. Whatev.

Morning, Glories.

I haven't been too deeply into the news this week. Have we heard (link?) what happened to / who killed Mister Lone Wolf Suddenly Radicalized Good Boy Killer?

and as long as I'm cluttering a comment slot...

Been thinking that celebrating (enabling) dysmorphia dysfunction seems like a particularly bizarre hysteria to be sweeping the media. Small wonder aborted-bodies-for-sale is not news in a madhouse like that.

This fellow found out God wanted him to be what he was made as, a bit late. Sad, but also inspiring.

Anna Puma: Three words that should strike dread and fear into the heart of anyone, even the most stalwart - Moron Organised Wedding.

And with the hearty LOL that gave me, I bid the crew adoo. Been fun to hang a while on the ONT. Rarely get to of late.

Good Night, Gracies. After you say your prayers, be sure to add thank-yous.

Okay. Nostalgia tech. Not that I haven't told this b4.

When I was old enough to pick up the receiver on our buttonless, dial-less deskset telephone, an Operator answered, "Number, plea-ase."

I would tell them my buddy Tom's number, "Two Four Six (please)." (Talk about easy to remember! I have no idea what our number was, though.) And that grown-up adult woman would connect me to Tommy's house.

Voice activated!

Later, we got "dial" phones and it was a backward step, but I mastered it. Tom's number ended up being xxx-x246, which I can recite to this day.

Someday, telephoning will be easy again.

Hashishim [hahaha]: Winston Churchill, John Buchan (look him up), Buzz Aldrin.

rebel flounder: Ronnie Raygun, Churchill, Chuck Yeager

With some of these folks (John Buchan? Didn't look him up... yet), I would like to have a long, beer-fueled conversation.

With the likes of Aldrin or Yeager, I would like to just sit and listen.

Bertram Cabot Jr: The clack sound as said [8-track] player switches tracks in the middle of In A Gadda Da Vida.

Truly! Therapy took years of LP, cassette, then digital, versions of such songs, to finally get over the anticipatory dread that the switch was about to happen.
