"Last chance to sleep in" says our host post. Yeah, I did. Milady and I spent much of the night between sleeping and wakefulness. My restless thoughts and peculiar dreams flowed into one another weirdly. Ended up getting up late. Might have been that late cup of coffee. I blame the change in the weather. Cold blew in. Rain, but no snow. Not 'til Saturday, they say.

Morning, Glories!

Now to see what have all'a y'all've been chatting about this morning, before the next post arrives.

Well, gotta go.

Say your prayers before bed, kids. Thank your angels for putting up with you.

M'boys were out in the south 40 (yes, we really have one) with a friend today, practicing shootin'. Nice they have picked up a healthy hobby they can share.

They didn't see that big male coyote that's been lurking around, unfortunately.

Dr Who: Oh, and between the accents and the overbearing noise and music, I need subtitles. Sometimes we back up two or three times and still can't figure out what someone's saying.

Not that it seems to matter.

Taro Tsujimoto: The wife and I have given up on Doctor Who. Peter Capaldi is insufferable on the rare occasions when he isn't incomprehensible...

I'm pretty disappointed with the series. Don't mind Capaldi so much, but plots & stories disappoint. Hit bottom with the moon is an egg episode, but has not risen much above that. Last Saturday's left us scratchin' the head. Just kinda stupid.

I'm wondering if these dreadful seasons are a cry to bring back who was it, Moffett? to write again, or something.

Rename it Doctor WhatTh'...

"Greater Appalachia"?? Now, that's something I would not ever have thought to label most of OK & TX. Who comes up with this stuff. (Yes, I should read the article. I glanced at it.)

If so, Morning Glories!

Bruce Boehner: You can't say someone is vain simply because they believe something that is factually correct. Silly Carly.

Isn't it ironic... doncha think?

Punctuated semicolon.

There's a code for that, right?

Morning, Glories!

Vic, thanks for the eye-opening shot of the news.

I'm bucking the blog trend here, but I keep thinking, what a glorious time to be alive - soldiers of truth, smack in the midst of one of the great wars between good and evil. Plenty to give thanks for next week, in spirit, if not in the facts of the world. YMMV.

Just in case I get to say Grace at Mom's Thanksgiving Day feast, with many hard-corpse leftie and psycho relatives at the table, I was thinking of searching Psalms or elsewhere for a passage that reflected both thankfulness and an unyielding opposition to the Enemy. Tough one. Suggestions welcome.

Just got home, tuned in, and...

Knowing how the Horde moooves on with each post, I get so confused when we get a post-ONT post. Where are we?

I think I'd best just go to bed and have more confusing dreams.

Good night, Gracies.

Spiritual Matters Department

Ah, as I figured, Vic covered this one already, with the same quote I was going to use.

Yale Prof: All Religions the Same

Sure, all alike. Except little trivial things like, Christianity says No Greater Love than to lay down one's life for one's fellows and Judeo-Christianity is commanded to give true witness, while Islam says Kill the Infidels and lying is fine and dandy. Completely indistinguishable in doctrine. And consequences. Yup.

That's my contributions for today. Morning, Glories!

PF Sloan RIP at 70

There was a time when everybody in Oklahoma was an "immigrant." Here's some history of the amazing Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889:

America's Last Frontier
…When the shotgun fired, they thundered across the line on horseback, mule, bicycle, and foot; in wagons; and even inside, outside, and on top of trains churning in from Texas and Kansas. Some got land, but most didn't. There were fistfights, shootouts, and court battles. Many sneaked in early and claimed some of the best 160-acre tracts and town lots. These energetic folks earned the label "Sooners."

By sundown on April 22, however, the entire country was settled…

Intellectual Froglegs' Joe Dan is all-in for Teh Donald, but I don't mind. I always enjoy his take on things. I also greatly admire the production. His are the kind of videos I'd like to be turning out myself, if I had the technology. And time. And talent.

Extra-rich reportage this morning, Vic. Thanks.

What with the thunder booming, my faithful furball with the hypersensitive hearing needing petting, and a brain that said, hey, the morning thread will be up soon, I couldn't get back to sleep. So, lo, I bring some dishes to the buffet besides. I ain't Vic, but I can contribute to Section B of the VNN.

Defending Our Borders

Following comments on AoS yesterday, I was amazed and amused to watch as states were added, by ones and twos, to the growing list of invasion refusers. Texas was an early entry, Kansas came in late (although I see it's not reflected in the map linked by Vic above). I kept wondering, but what about my Governor, between the two?

Oklahoma Says, Sure, Send Us More?
