I know what you're linking to without looking. And it was amazing.

I should have specifically said "NASA."

Seamus Muldoon: So, it's supposed to be minus 3 degrees here tonight. I don't get that. How can you have a negative number of degrees?

That's the government atwerk, lying to you again.

It's really a comfy 253°K

Speaking of SF-ish flix (which Avatar isn't), Milady and I finished watching The Martian tonight. Satisfying enough - well portrayed.

Having just watched a documentary on the 1968 Apollo 8 daring-do, I could almost imagine folks actually taking those wild chances and big risks and succeeding... in 1968, at least. Not nowadays.

Puddleglum: Avatar was a horrible movie. I have never finished watching it. Its just awful.

I did finish it, eventually, but it took many sessions of watching a little bit at a time, often windowed while playing solitaire.

As I recall, it was something about giant smurfs at war with the free market....?

Doesn't the kwaanzzaa celebration have a big finish where the President and First Lady are thrown into a volcano? I'm sure I remember reading about that.

Good evening, survivors. Nice Christmastime days are over and colder temperatures and rain have moved into NE OK.

No tornadoes, though. God bless folks in Texas.

Yeah? I've never understood what "Boxing Day" was about, myself.

Hawaii should go all-out and rename the big island SCOAMF.

Mr Scribbler: ...Even for Democrats, the idea that he [Bernie] has actual support from anyone seems far-fetched, to say the least.

And yet he seems to be the go-to for young'n's.

Thankgiving, so daughter reported, my nephew argued with his mom about Hillary, listing her criminal behavior and lies... and concluded with praising Sanders!

Bern is also the preference of one son's new girlfriend (cute, but leftie-infected - son and I have had some words about this).

I suspect there's no actual thought or understanding of what Bernie stands for involved. He seems to just be "the other democrat" for folks who don't like Hillary. 'Cause you can't go Rethuglican or Trumpclown.

Nied's Nood - too topical-political too early in the day. I think I'll just wallow here, alone if need be, instead of moving on. Ah, I know, I'll go feed the pets. & stuff

Seamus Muldoon's wife's company's CEO: "Please know that much of your work every day is noticed, and in many ways it is quite remarkable and magical..."

Hahahaha. That's really sad.

"Much of your work," but not necessariy all.. in fact, maybe not the majority.

And merely "noticed," not necessarily appreciated, although "remarkable," which means nothing.

And, of course, "magical" as in "you didn't really do that."

A real way with words, there!

Vic: New year coming up with new laws going into effect.

D'ya think if we quit calling them "lawmakers" and started using the term "law rescinders"...? Naw, because basically they're "lawbreakers"!

...GOP. Everyone below the top 4 should drop out.

How about everybody below "Wouldn't vote 7.4%"? Bye, Jeb.

Appreciate the reminder. I knew this, hearing the lie often enough, I began to sort-of forget.

Thanks, Vic!

Used up my ONT time watching vid, including the Dr Who Christmas special. It was pretty good. (Or, maybe it just seemed so because the past season was so bad.)

Anyway, full of Christmas cheer, had good family time, and now to sleep it off.

Happy 2nd Day of Christmas, those who are up.

And good night, Gracies.

Downtown park has a "fantasyland of lights," really cute displays, with twinkle lights portraying various Christmasy things, some animated, like Santa stuck in a chimney, the 12 days, snowman melting, angels, creche, reindeer leaping over the road. Went through there once earlier, and was hoping to go through again after some snow, when it looks best.

Lasts until the 30th.

Alas, starting tonight we get days of rain, followed by "ice pellets" (what we used to call "hail"), followed by hard freeze, followed by cold, clear days. Yuck! Don't think we'll get to see it under real snow. Maybe.

The kids and visiting dogs are gone. The cats are leaking back out of their hiding places. (Tough Guy cat what thinks he's a dog never flinched.) A few moment's peace.

Milady is cooking again. Mole' sauce, for something with dinner at daughter's house. You can roll me home after that.

Merry Christmas again, to all'a y'all.
