Good night, Gracies.

Sherry McEvil: Love cheese, chocolate, and jerky all about the same.
Oh, whew! At first I read that as "all at the same time," and I was a little worried.
Hmm. Maybe? * ponders *
No.. no...
I generally take off my shoes in the house, switching to my comfy houseslippers...
but I also have a dog and four cats tracking in whatever they have.
I avoid licking the carpet. And no five-second rule.
Evening, overnightwalkers!
Watched this twice today. Not exactly anything I didn't know, but excellently reinforcing. And not a little disturbing. 31min - worth watcing the whole thing.

The video solaratov posted requires Flash, and I don't have that available. What is it, or, is there a YouTube or Vimeo or other version?
Grunt, if you email me webworker at my website url, there's a matter I'd like to talk with you about. No big deal if you don't want to.

...Where I came from, China had killed thousands of the students by its own government during the massacre of Tian An Men square in 1989. I surely wish my fellow Chinese citizens back then had guns like this one I am holding in the picture.
I am a Chinese immigrant and an American citizen by choice. I once was a slave before and I will never be one again....

Should've checked the headlines more carefully first. Didn't realize the Powerball answer was in there. Oh, well. There's this...
Thousands of Oklahomans were rocked by several strong earthquakes late Wednesday and early Thursday.
Overall, nearly twenty have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
They weren't just frequent, they were strong, too. Now, several people are wondering what could be next to come....

And to think, when we moved back here, I was thinking all we'd really have to worry about is drought and tornadoes!
Whoa! Reporter asks what man would do if he won the Powerball.
Gets unwelcome, but true Moron, answer.

I could've sworn I smelled a fresh thread warming up. But, no nood yet.
Been thinking about the "Stump for Trump" gals. Have followed their Yootoobs for quite a while, and seeing the reaction to them at a couple of Trump rallies, seems they're getting pretty popular. Regardless of their message, I get a kick out of their act.
But two things stand out.
One is, they do a great job of whipping up interest with serious-minded humor. Great Get Out the Vote stuff.
Two, they constantly pump their Ditch and Switch site, to encourage folks to sign up as Republicans, especially for the primaries. I know these aren't solid life-long Constitutional republican types they're talking to, just ad hoc Trump-ites, who will probably lose interest altogether (especially in the GOP) if Trump doesn't get the nom, but, still, they seem like the biggest Republican recruitment activity going. Wonder how successful they are.
Stringer Davis: FS... You've developed the most natural "non-gendered" vocabulary I've seen....
Absolutely. It's not easy, but FS makes it seem so.
FenelonSpoke: However, one night I was tired and referred to my husband as "he"...
Way to throw them off; now they'll never guess you're extraterrestrials identifying as lesbian furries!
I remember being proud of my native Episcopal church when they first opened up to ordaining women. Alas, that door just kept opening until it was off the hinges.
(I'm really just commenting in order to change the sock.
)
Turd Ferguson: There was a joke on its way, but the new Kindle killed it.
Didn't pass our level-of-humorousness test.
FenelonSpoke: ...someone was saying in another thread that I was lesbian and that I read "Gay Patriot" or call another woman "dear" proves it.
Yeah, the vast majority was just typical Moron joshing, but there were a few where it was hard to tell if they were serious.
Since some folks are absolutely persuaded that you are male, the lesbian thing must just be something you "identify as."
Funny thing, as I mentioned yesterday: some folks really don't "identify" online as m or f. Women, understandably, tend to mask more than men.
I learned 'way back in the pre-wwweb CompuServe forums to never assume... and sometimes not even to believe when they did identify as m or f... although usually, my "gendar" is pretty good.
Anyway, we're all just pixels in gray boxes here.
Vic: I keep a small jar of "instant" for those rare times when I run out of the real stuff. It is good enough for a cup and bad enough for punishment for running out.
I haven't had instant in decades. Not a snob, just never get it. We usually have a small jar of already-ground enough to make a single cup if not a pot, but even that was empty yesterday.
Worst part of having no bacon? I had microwaved a bunch the day before. Every time I opened the microwave, it smelled like bacon. ![]()
FenelonSpoke: Well, evidently I'm not the only "tin foil hate crazy" who thinks Obama's tears were faked, and they came up with even more evidence than I did:

I like that the article also mentioned (and had stills and vid) BJ Clinton's emotional change-of-direction at Ron Brown's funeral. So blatant. Classic Clinton crap.j
BTW, FS, did you ever get back to see the full tumult your tiny typo created yesterday? You were a hot topic for many comments.
Hub McCann: Bitly has gone behind a sign-up wall. It is only a matter of time before they start charging. So I have gone back to tinyurl.
Since I've been signed up for a long time, I didn't notice any change. (I assume this affects folks MAKING short URLs, not those clicking on them. Right? Right???)
As for charging, if they do that, I'm out of there instantly.
DAY 1,158
305 to go (378 to Inauguration Day )
JJ, haven't thanked you for the countdown in a while.
Thanks for the countdown.
Still >365 'til the theoretical new President is sworn in. President Donald? President Bernie? President Hillary's VP?
...recommend men and boys eat less protein from meat.
Of course they do. Don't want hearty bodies and brains. Moar PajamaBoys!
Had a really bad morning yesterday. First, I discovered there was no coffee. Then, I discovered we were out of bacon. Don't know how I survived.
All corrected this morning, though. Ah, coffee's brewed.
Seamus Muldoon: Sorry for the length of this comment.
As far as I'm concerned, Seamus, the only thing you have to apologize for on those* is apologizing for the length. Cut it out.
Enjoying the serialization.
