Evening, Overnighters. One more rocker down.

Paul Kantner, founding member, guitarist and singer for Jefferson Airplane and Starship, died Thursday of multiple organ failure and septic shock. He had suffered a heart attack earlier in the week. (74yo)

"...intelligent comments from engaged and perceptive readers..."

This is why I have avoided commenting. Wouldn't want to drag down the high quality of the place. ; )

Congrats, and may the hits just keep on coming.

Relatedly, Dr. Piper chimes in with a strong opinion.
I'll just copy & paste the comment I just left on soopermexican, 'cause I'm that lazy:

Relatedly, Dr. Piper chimes in with a strong opinion.

On Jan. 18, Jerry Falwell Jr. welcomed Donald Trump to Liberty University to speak in the school’s chapel. As the college president who wrote the “this is not a daycare” article that received so much national attention recently, I have been asked by the media if I would be next: Will I be inviting Mr. Trump to Oklahoma Wesleyan University to speak in our chapel service? My answer has been simple and brief. No, I will not.…

I wonder if Trump will apologize for twitting a mistake as Glenn Beck did, or will just let the falsehood stand. I'm betting the latter, because Trump seems not to have a "reverse" gear.

Looks like I missed the morning thread by thismuch.

Morning, Glories!

Vic: On this in 1887 in a snowstorm at Fort Keogh, Montana, the world's largest snowflakes were reported, 15 inches wide and 8 inches thick.

Um, sounds like a real Paul Bunyan type tale t'me. Like, I remember the winter it was so cold the air all froze in place and you had to take a knife to cut it just to let the dawg out...

Knee replacements and calculators? What an ONT.

1969, pre-calc class, where my A+ math career ended. (Many personal problems contributed.) Son of teacher, sitting in the front, with his calculator, while the rest of us fiddled with slide rules. Harrumphs!

Good night, Gracies!

I was scrolling down the front page and ran across that find-the-cat pic from the other night. Wasn't too hard.

Evening, Overnighters.

Gonna call it a night.

It's a night! (droll, eh?)

My beverage mug is empty. There's a tomorrow to take care of coming up.

Good night, Gracies!

Man, it's nice to see a potential crisis of misunderstanding chillaxify.

Do the kids still say chillax?

..Rick Z. was talking about mice and traps and the mice avoiding those traps last night...

Went to the "office" the other day, moved a thing on the floor, and there was a cowering little mouse. I thought for a moment he was dead, but he was just frozen with fear or confusion, instead of running.

Once I realized he was actually alive, I just stomped him. Remarkably, I got him just right so he was killed but not squished and messy.

Actually, most remarkable was that I got him at all. I've caught many mice in traps over the years, and caught a few that the cats brought in the house, damaged, but I've never just stomped one before.

Ricardo Kill: grump, I try to copy and paste the weird characters you produce and Pixy gives me the cold, dead 500 error.
What sorcerer's ways do you have?

ONT is up, but, no worry, no hurry. It'll still be there when you're done with this thing.

MP4's new puppeh... yay!

My dog wants one. We kinda do, too, but, we've never actually gone out and got a dog. They just come to us, and the Lord (aka jerks who dump their pets near our place) hasn't sent us one since Defender Doggie showed up years ago.

Would be different to actually start off with a pup.
