Coaxing hallucinations out of an apple?

I really have no recollection of drawing this.
I don't know where the original might be.
Likewise, I'm not sure what's going on,
nor what it's "leftovers" from.
Kinda like all the little characters, though.
Scanned and presented without significant alteration.
The date on the file is 2002 Apr 22, so,
doodles some time before then.
