As I said, it was very short. The entire clip just showed Keyes as he turned his head toward Obama saying, ‘Well, you’re not even a natural born citizen.’ Obama confidently responds, ‘That’s OK, I’m not running for President, I’m only running for the Senate.’ That was the end of the video. Very, very short. [Many folks say this is all rumor, and I've found no video myself.]

· mojitojoe: De-bunked by who? It was on You Tube. I saw it. I never knew it would be a big deal. It was NOT during the debate, it was after they walked off the stage, there were reporters there, asking questions and Keys and oboma had a few exchanges. There was a lot of commotion, maybe Keyes didn’t think it was a big deal at the time. All I know is I saw it. People commented on it on You Tube, so did I. I added it to my favorites and then it was gone. I searched all over trying to find it somewhere, never could. Someone has that tape, or it has been destroyed forever. Keys doesn’t have a very good memory, that’s for sure.

It's All in Your Mind

frontotemporal dementia — a little-known, poorly understood and frequently misdiagnosed group of brain diseases that eat away at personality and language. Although it was first recognized more than 100 years ago, there is still no cure or treatment, and patients survive an average of only eight years after the diagnosis. … it strikes younger people, progresses faster and, unlike Alzheimer’s, does not attack memory at first but begins with silence, apathy or bizarre personality changes. It is thought to afflict at least 50,000 to 60,000 people in the United States.

Educating Ourselves

When I was in high school, I used to take two different encyclopedias and copy all the cool stuff about my assigned subject on to 3×5 cards. I’d shuffle the cards a bit, use a thesaurus to change all the adjectives and adverbs, and type it up on my trusty Smith-Corona. I thought I was cheating, but I was never caught. But in retrospect, what I was doing was a lot closer to real research than what Elrod does. It was also a fair amount of work, and I really did learn stuff, too.
