I don't like "reliable sources say," because it's unreliable, but…
In Canada, reliable sources say that most of the "police" brought in to crush the demonstration were glorified security guards from remote areas, who were put up in the finest, most expensive hotel rooms in Ottawa and who were paid $4000 per day for cracking heads. They were quite literally a Brute Squad, made up of hand selected brutes.

The company's CEO, Kevin Guo, told Fox that Hive would police the site for sexually-explicit content, and posts that include violence, bullying, hate speech, and spam.
Guo argued that his company's moderation would not encroach on politics, the charge that Trump and his allies have leveled at the likes of Facebook and Twitter.
Hmmm. Moderation is necessary, but… we'll see.
