174 Pardon a clumsy request for prayers - for complete healing.
I've mentioned before, my wonderful wife, MJ, has for decades lived with a disfiguring and debilitating health problem. It has lessened and worsened but never gone away. Suddenly, night before last, it has become very much worse than it has ever been.
She is not in pain, and is in good spirits, which has kept me able to pray more than panic. Seems to have stabilized, and we hope for her getting better now.
Although I weary of "better" and not "well." Do you think the lepers whom Jesus cured merely got somewhat better? Do you think he gave the blind man only sorta-fuzzy vision? He didn't just turn water to wine, he made the best wine. Nothing in my theology suggests that beggars can be choosers; nevertheless, in Jesus' name, I pray for MJ to be better, but more, if our Father wills, to be wholly well at long last.

228 Prayers for your wife and yourself, mw. I get it. I don't know the answer. This side of heaven, I have to walk by faith and not by sight. On the other side- in heaven, we will be whole. Won't that be a wonderful day.

302 mindful webworker, my heart goes out to you and your wife. I will pray for MJ, as well as the rest of the horde, for God's abundant love and healing. I have been wrestling with this seeming inaction on God's part for some time, and all I can say is he is working things out in His time because he does in fact have a plan, we just don't know what it is.
Also, Psalms 22:1 helped me have some perspective: If Christ on the cross (paying for my sins with his blood) could utter those words, then I can make it through whatever I am dealing with, because He conquered death.
