THANKSGIVING WEDNESDAY 2002-NOV-27 3:00pm CST
Giving thanks that the forces of oppression and tyranny are not all-powerful, and that they ultimately will be overwhelmed by the forces of liberty.

The news is flooded with war reports — I barely scratched the surface for yesterday's reports, but other duties for this holiday weekend are consuming this logger's time. I'll do what I can here today.

Portland, Oregon: After ten months of stalking, agents of Prohibitionism tyranny invaded six homes, kidnapped three entrepreneurial Mexicans, and interrupted their free trade organization (where's NAFTA?) with "the potential to supply half the heroin addicts in the metropolitan area." Note the Prohibition propaganda that if you use heroin, you must be addicted. The arrested marketeers are thought to be part of a larger recreational-substance distribution corporation in western Mexico. Prohibitionist tyrants feared "big shipments of high-grade heroin" and cry that "about two-thirds of Oregon's drug deaths last year were blamed on heroin overdoses." More propaganda. To start with, it's an easy guess alcohol and tobacco were excluded from this statistic. And accidental overdoses on high-grade heroin, as finally noted deep in the article, are frequently a problem created simply by prohibition itself. Legalization won't stop overdoses or habituation, but a legal market would permit people to know what they're getting, and adjust their dosages accordingly, provided they can cope that much. Prohibition kills by creating black market supplies and undermining both quality and educational efforts. Heroin sucks bigtime. Prohibition is worse than heroin. NOTE: THE RAIDS WERE FUNDED BY THE PURITALIBANAZI ZEALOTS WHO HAVE TAKEN OVER THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF THE USA. YOUR TAX DOLLARS THROWN AWAY: "If there's a demand, there will be another organization or another branch of this organization that will move in to take up the slack," said Capt. Steven Berchard, director of the regional task force, not a bit fearful for his job security.

Prohibitionist egregious propaganda headline of the day award:
Bristol, Virginia: A seven month undercover operation in the Tri-Cities keeps more than 75 thousand dollars of illegal drugs off the streets of our region. Twenty-five people charged with forty-five crimes, all of them (as far as the article notes) non-transgressions which simply break the personal recreational substance taboos of the religious tyrants ruling this poor region.

Oregon Daily Emerald: "If the young men and women of this nation are old enough to vote and old enough to be drafted for service in the armed forces at age 18, they are old enough to decide for themselves whether or not to use marijuana." A nice try by a student who is still heavily under the influence of Prohibitionist propaganda, but who is learning to think for himself and has many interesting things to say and experiences to relate.

BBC: CHINESE JAILING NET USERS. Amnesty International (AI) demands the release of citizens imprisoned simply for expressing views or sharing information online. At least 33 are known to be held by the Communist oppressors, with two (of Fulan Gong) known dead from torture or mistreatment. AI alleged Beijing was creating a new category of "prisoner of conscience." (NEW CATEGORY?? If it were new, they wouldn't have thought to put that stuff about Freedom of Press and Speech in that American Constitution we used to have as the law of the land.) There's fertile ground in China for creating new digital thought criminals, with the most wired citizens in the world, approaching fifty million. "Anyone surfing the internet could potentially be at risk of arbitrary detention and imprisonment." CIA and Ashcroft say, Hey, we have a Prohibition Race on our hands. We can't let the Chinese beat us in the thoughtcrime net oppression race!

Hard to imagine that just doing what I'm doing could... get... one... arrested..... why, hello Mr. Ashkropft!

Follow up on that 15-yr-old hockey player who hung himself after being caught smoking pot.
Canada.com: "Distraught Kelowna dad Terry Ricciuti says his 15-year-old son Jason -- his only child -- killed himself after being caught with pot because he thought he'd never play hockey again." Mother Patti: "If my son hadn't been left alone after knowing the consequences, he would be home with me now." Father Terry: "You know how kids are: Little things tend to be the biggest things in the world sometimes and in his case he thought he wasn't going to be able to play hockey again this year."

More quickly now, some items, ripped from the web:

Chicago: 8,700 Pounds Of Marijuana Found In Microphone Boxes — truck drivers fail to make a simple phone call, and somebody's mother nature's bounty falls into the hands of the Prohibitionista.

Minneapolis (AP) — Private school ordered by judge to reinstate student caught smoking pot. WHOA! I've got to come in on the side of the private school on this one. They had rules, the kid broke them, and no matter how harsh, inappropriate, and downright stupid we may consider these rules to be, it's their place, the parents and students understand that these rules are in effect when they pay to send their children there. The school has the right to kick him out. The punishment was excessive. The kid's college chances may be temporarily threatened. TOUGH! Deal with it.

El Paso: Prohibitionists steal "326,553 pounds of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana along the border in West Texas and New Mexico." (Isn't it great how they lump all these weights together, as if the substances were all equally heavy in mass and effect.)

COLUMBUS, Ohio — "Ohio State Patrol officers arrested a Corrections Reception Center food service worker Tuesday for attempting to convey drugs into the institution."

Athens, OHIO — "A part-time inmate of the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville was caught allegedly trying to bring marijuana into the jail ... by concealing the drug in his rectal cavity."

Alligator?ASHTABULA, Ohio — "A drug bust in northern Ohio resulted in eight arrests, several types of confiscated drugs, and a 4-foot alligator."

NEW YORK — "A bus company supervisor has been charged with dealing drugs, including crack cocaine and Ecstasy, from a parked car across the street from the Queens district attorney's office."

Broken LinkVancouver Sun — "Video cameras installed along the B.C.-Washington border after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks regularly malfunction and fail to keep terrorists and drug runners from entering the U.S. via Canada, the former head of the Blaine border patrol said Tuesday."
www.canada.com/vancouver/news/story.asp?id=%7B8797EBC9-4A18-4035-A70B-B0DC386CBD0A%7D

VIENNA TWP. MICHIGAN — "Members of the Huron Narcotics Team (HUNT) arrested a 34-year-old Montmorency County man Friday and seized marijuana with a street value of more than $40,000...."

Palatka, FLORIDA: Two Palatka residents were taken into custody late Monday night after deputies raided their Heidt Road home looking for drugs, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

Irish Examiner: A destitute and homeless South African woman who imported drugs at Dublin Airport has been refused a suspended sentence for her own good by Judge Joseph Matthews. Helen Bickford (55), with no fixed abode, he described as "an example of the minnows and sardines of the drug trade that wash up on our shores while the great white sharks swim silently in the deep waters creating greater damage". He goes on and on like this. It's pretty funny. She pleaded guilty to importing €38,000 worth of cannabis resin.

More world citizens victimized by Prohibitionasties

Broken LinkTHANKSGIVING PARTY TIME FOR PROHIBITIONASTIES: More than a ton of marijuana (worth more than $1.7 million thanks to Prohibition itself) has been seized over seven days from motorists trying to cross into the United States through Nogales.
www.tucsoncitizen.com/local/11_27_02drug_bust.html

Journalist pursues cover-up of trash bag full of pot disappears from police inventory. "To this date, nearly three months after the pot was stolen, nobody has been arrested and no information has been voluntarily released."

Just one more victim: male, 40, guilty of possession of marijuana; pay $182 costs; sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended; given credit for time served. He did nothing, yet here he is among all these reports of slobbering drunks and true transgressors.

THERE'S SEEMINGLY INFINITELY MORE JUST LIKE THIS EVERY DAY.... REPEAL! REPEAL! REPEAL!

TUESDAY 2002-NOV-26 5:00pm CST

Here we go again with another day's reports from the weary, bloodied fields of the struggle for human liberty against the overwhelming oppressive forces of tyranny.

PROHIBITION KILLS
The big headline today of course is "Teen caught smoking pot kills himself." Pot may exacerbate a bad state of mind, and obviously this only child had problems, but what ultimately created the circumstances for the death of this fifteen-year-old Canadian hockey player was his fears, shames, and anxieties whipped up by Prohibitionism, an evil sociopathic religion that must be eradicated.
www.canada.com/vancouver/news/story.asp?id=%7BF22693E7-AC0A-4D40-8216-13117B8ABE39%7D

Port Macquarie News, Australia: A man, 22, was simply growing some hydroponic marijuana plants in his garage, when Prohibitionist fanatics broke into his home, seizing his property and taking him prisoner. He claimed it was for personal use, but they just sneered at him. The oppressors inflated the value of the fifty-three plants to an absurd $106,000. He was not hanged [as they do in Brunei], but he was charged with tribal taboo-breaking and ordered to give up four hundred hours of his time and three thousand five hundred of his dollars to the crazed zealots who rule his region.

Christian County, Kentucky: A male and female, both 41, had their home invaded by Prohibitionistas who had been stalking them. The insane terrorists who run their region kidnapped the couple and took their marijuana, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and cash. The tyrants admit to invoking double jeopardy on the couple, or as they put it in their Newspeak, the charges were "firearm-enhanced." (How can they possibly consider such reprehensible inhumanity in a county called Christian? Jesus weeps!)

Princeton, Kentucky: Dozens of citizens charged with taboo-breaking by the tyrants of this region. The terrorists steal peoples' OxyContin, Lortab, methamphetamine, dilaudid and small amounts of marijuana and then kidnap them. A good example of the self-delusional attitudes of these religious fanatics can be found in the article: “Our nation has a drug problem as a whole," drolled Sheriff Stan Hudson. "And I think the majority of crimes all stem from drugs. You see violence, stealing in order to pay for a drug habit. I think if we can control the drug problem, we can control 90 percent of the crimes in this nation." Why are those substances so expensive, Sheriff, that people with drug habits and weak morals will steal for them? Without the Taboo enforcement, they wouldn't need to steal, and they might more easily seek treatment if needed. But the most common "crime" that fills the prisons of the PuriTaliban rulers is simple non-violent taboo-breaking, possession or sale of taboo stuff, no real "crime" at all against anyone, only the transgression of imaginary lines drawn by religious fanatics. The black market prices, and the resultant depravity, exist more from those Taboos and their priests' being in power than from and all of the drugs themselves put together. Possibly including their accepted drugs, sugar, caffeine, tobacco and booze.

CBC Saskatchewan, Canada: Canadian Prohibitionistas kidnap half a dozen people, stealing 500 private marijuana plants, and tens of thousands of dollars worth of their growing equipment. The tyrants admit to just how disturbed they are: "RCMP says the project is aimed at wiping out indoor marijuana cultivation." Such psychotic prejudice in a reputedly civilized nation! It's like listening to the Arabs who say they want to wipe out all Jews.

Birmingham News, AL: Deep in the heart of tyranny: LIFE SENTENCE FOR THREE POUNDS OF POT! Male, 25, imprisoned by the Prohibitionistas for the rest of his life, just for trying to hide a present from his girlfriend. Or something like that. The story's a little twisted, with postal inspectors and devious twists and turns, but nothing as devious as the conviction. In the kangaroo court, the tyrants turned his own girlfriend against him, the evil psychotic fiends!

Headline in Broken LinkThe Australian: Marijuana suicide 'epidemic'
Lead: "MARIJUANA-related suicide has reached epidemic proportions in Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory."
MARIJUANA?? That's weird... let's take a look beyond the headline. Aha! Here it is:
""People are buying this marijuana and when they have an opportunity, mix it up with alcohol. 'There's some sort of fusion; people become paranoid and people are committing suicide.'"
MIX IT UP WITH ALCOHOL????!!!! Jeminee Ache Christmas, folks! It ain't necessarily the POT!

Two dancersUK fines pubs when drinkers dance. One pub chain fined $7,850 because patrons were engaging in "rhythmic moving." To allow your patrons to dance, you must have a different license, which can be costly and difficult. BRITONS! GET UP AND DANCE FOR LIBERTY AND FOR REPEAL! REPEAL! REPEAL! OF BUREAUCRATIC TYRANNY!

Man gets bonus with car: nearly 10 pounds of cocaine. Bought car at auction of property confiscated by drug tyrants. He didn't want it, though.

We should preserve freedom from terror, not sacrifice it more — editorial in Gainesville Times. "Ashcroft, we believe, has been far too zealous in pursuit of remedies that infringe on civil rights. Our fear is that once those rights are modified or curtailed, they will never be restored."

The government isn't the only one trying to sneak your information.
Could be commercial vendors: BBC: The spy inside your home computer — sneaky software may violate your informational privacy.
Or it might be your parents: TBO/AP: Some Financially Strapped Parents Dipping Into Their Unwitting Kids' Credit.
But the government is definitely going to Big Brother your net use now.

Franklin County MA considers legalizing industrial hemp. "Given the nature of this crop, I'm not sure it would be worth going after, with all the regulations that would most likely be involved," says local farmer. The drugthugs are right, though, about this: you really can't legalize the industrial stuff without implicitly legalizing the recreational stuff. So, to simplify all round, why not just quit wasting time, money, and opportunity, and REPEAL PROHIBITION!

Problems of the Law: DUI is one of a class of laws which compound guilt. Like "paraphernalia" laws or some gun or child laws, they are a way of bringing multiple charges for a lone act, tantamount to multiple jeopardy. It is understandable that a person who is in a traffic accident and is soaked in booze at the time should not only be held liable for the accident but should also be ordered to alcohol treatment. But the mere act of operating a motor vehicle apparently soberly while under the influence of a greater-than-legal amount of alcohol, while not advisable in any case, raises questions about individual culpability and liberty. Not everybody's tolerance or ability is the same at the same blood-alcohol level. One man's mere beer is another man's loss of control. Other drugs are not as reliably incapacitating nor as measurably affecting as booze. An Indiana man is held for reckless vehicular homicide, for having taken a fatal left in front of a motorcyclist. The reckless driver tested positive for marijuana. There was no pot reported in the car. So he wasn't distracted by tokin' a big ol' blunt while taking that reckless fatal left. Chances are he hadn't just finished three doobies, or else he ditched the roaches swiftly. But he could have smoked pot days ago. It is not measurable like booze in that regard. Whatever residual stupidity pot may cause in some people, the testability of pot in one's system says nothing about one's impairment at the moment. Without evidence of relatively recent use, like a burning roach in the driver's lap, you can't really say the pot had anything to do with it. In any case, while not saying that stoners can't cause fatal accidents, most potheads, if they were stoned, would've waited more carefully to take that left, even for hours, and that's just a fact of marijuana-izing. Most stoned folks discover speed limits and other traffic laws are really reasonable, and maybe not cautious enough!

The idea which the reader is supposed to infer is that pot is bad, like alcohol. It may make someone dizzy or dopey, but most of the time the real culprit is easily discernible, like the fatal accident in Bardstown, KY, where the alleged culprit was "charged with reckless homicide, driving under the influence and possession of marijuana." Influence of what? "Alcohol was a factor in the accident, said Sgt. William Buckman."

Brownstown IN: Male, 20, arrested for drunk driving and possession of less than 30 grams of pot. Forget the buze, dude. Of course, all these police blotter reports are filled with problems caused by non-prohibited alcohol.

Mount Pleasant, MI: "Police report that problems during the Central Michigan/Western Michigan football game weekend were minimal. About 25 people were lodged in jail, 24 minors were cited for possession of alcohol, four were arrested for urinating in public, seven for being disorderly, 10 for possession of marijuana, four for felony resisting and obstructing police, and two for drunken driving. Good Lord! Thank goodness things didn't get out of hand!

PURITALIBAN NARCO NAZIS SELL REAL POT AND FAKE COKE TO ENTRAP CITIZENS IN OAKLAND RECREATIONAL SUBSTANCE MARKETPLACE. AMERICAN CITIZENS AND THEIR PROPERTY SEIZED. They bust up a long-time marketplace of the people, as testified to by one citizen who "said he had been buying marijuana at the site for at least 20 years. 'Everybody knows this is where you go,' he told police who arrested him. Of course, all that street traffic can be dangerous." So LEGALIZE IT! END THE MADNESS!

FOUR TO BE HANGED FOR LESS THAN A KILO OF POT: Brunei, yet another primitive society still under the influence of irrational tyrannical taboos, arrests five in two raids, taking in one raid 900g of pot and ten tabs of ecs, and in another 100g of pot. NONE OF WHICH WAS REPORTED TO BE HURTING ANYBODY. The four arrested with the 900g of pot are 400g over the death penalty limit of 500g. ASHCROFT AND U.S.D.E.A. SAID TO BE CONSIDERING ADOPTING BRUNEI'S PUNISHMENT SOON. Well, the way things are going....

Dear Brunei: (Write Brunei Direct yourself)
Regarding the death penalty for half a kilo of pot: Pardon the presumptuousness of an ordinary fellow on the other side of the world from a rather different culture, and with all due respect for our cultural disparity, but this is intolerable. Can reason prevail over cultural taboos? Let us reason together. If somebody has a problem with some substance or habit, they may need medical intervention, family love, religious enlightenment, but they don't need to be hanged. Nor even incarcerated, unless their behaviors are otherwise anti-social. The United States of America was once intoxicated with moral righteousness and instituted a national policy of alcohol prohibition. A long civil war later, the nation sobered up because citizens discovered that the cure was infinitely worse than the ailment. America repealed that mistake, but learned too little from that dark chapter in our history, and so repeats the error today with many other deeply-entrenched prohibitions. Yet like the Renaissance after the Dark Ages, some cities, some states, even some countries are slowly wising up to the error of these misguided religious taboos (especially regarding God's good natural medicine marijuana), just as we have eliminated primitive concepts like slavery or many of our misogynistic laws. We are learning that individuals, families, and society are better served by liberty, a lesson we have to learn and re-learn, apparently. True liberty means true responsibility, not mere taboo-breaking. True liberty means true tolerance for the other fellow's preferences for himself, how he worships, what he reads, what he puts in his body, even if we find it distasteful. Alcohol is the most widely used and deadliest drug in the world. Since the repeal of American alcohol prohibition, generally (our laws still vary widely from region to region) only true transgressions involving alcohol are considered offenses, like our laws on drunk driving or public intoxication, where some offense is committed against another. But any citizen can consume a beer without fear for his liberty. For God's sake, for humanity's sake, for the sake of world peace, repeal your offensive and inhumane practices. Catch up with, even dare to lead the world in understanding that such taboos and prohibitions only destroy civilization and the rule of law far worse than the bad habits they prohibit.

Kankakee: 21-yr-old driving drunk — especially bad idea while holding a bag of coke. Eighteen-year-old driver stopped for no named reason, allegedly consents to search ("JUST SAY NO!" Also, "DON'T GO DOWN IN THE BASEMENT!"), and is found with scales and undisclosed amount of pot. And a 32-yr-old driving around with open beers and a one-hitter in his car — unwise. Meanwhile a 19-yr-old was arrested for domestic battery and violation of a protective order without any substances being mentioned at all. Just for the record.

Dyersburg TN: — Male, 42, pleads guilty to three counts of sale of his prescrip Dihydrocodeinone. He gets 30 days in the gulag and 3 years probation for repeatedly selling scrips to undercover narcs. Further along, we read of a male, 23, sentenced to FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND SIX MONTHS in the gulag, for more than half an ounce of mere pot, with three years probation. It gets crazier. A male, 21, "pleaded guilty... to two charges of sale of more than .5 gram of cocaine and was sentenced to serve EIGHT YEARS in prison and to pay $6,000 in fines. He will be eligible for parole after serving 30 percent, or 28.8 months, of the sentence." And a male, 45, "pleaded guilty... to a charge of possession of more than .5 gram of cocaine and was sentenced to serve EIGHT YEARS in prison. He will be eligible for parole after serving 30 percent, or 28.8 months, of the sentence. Wow. Primitive though this religious fundamentalism seems, at least Tennessee isn't Brunei. Quite. Yet.

Ardmore, in the primitive nation of Oklahoma: Another case of selling pot through a day-care center. Someone tipped off the PuriTaliban and they busted the female operator on various charges including "possession of a dangerous substance in the presence of a child." Another one of those bogus ways of invoking double jeopardy. Like the pot was going to explode. But this selling through day-care centers makes sense, really. To paraphrase the punchline of the old joke, did you ever try to raise small children not stoned? (UH-oh! Did he just say that in public?)

Carnegie Mellon U's Tartan: "Drug Paraphernalia, 11/16/02, 11:19 pm — A Mudge House resident called Campus Police to report that her roommates were on the roof of Mudge smoking and drinking. Campus Police found no one on the roof. The resident also said her roommates were smoking marijuana in the room and said there was a pipe on her roommate’s desk. Police found no residue in the homemade pipe, but confiscated it." I know a certain roommate who isn't going to live comfortably after this. Also, student lies about having keg in room. Among other reports of collegiate hijinks like noise, skateboarding, and vandalism.

DRIVE WELL AND KNOW HOW TO LIE IF YOU'RE GOING TO — MANY COPS AREN'T DUMB. It was a "routine traffic violation" in Laurel Miss but when the driver explained his big ol' flatbed was being used in construction the past two weeks, but it was clean and newly painted, that's when the cop looked for the hidden panel with the "drugs" behind it. Exactly what and how much they found is not mentioned.

Two mens' lives interrupted, forty-five pounds of pot confiscated by agents of religious tyranny in Jackson Miss. Drugs identified at a local Unidentified Parcel Service in league with the fanatics.

Biloxi, Miss, five month, oodles of cops, thirty-nine lives wrecked, as Prohibitionistas war with Black Marketeers, neither of which would exist as they do without Prohibition! MDMA, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, Oxycontin and methadone, and 10 misdemeanors for pot.

Sad tale of late Sarasota street singer, kind when sober, mean when drunk, family history of alcoholism.

"But the 'No Lie' campaign would inform students of some of the statistics and information Bittel and the others learned at the conference, such as the dangers of marijuana use...." Did they hear about the biggest danger from marijuana — the Prohibitionists and their unholy powers?

Steubenville OH agents of narco insanity invade private home, haul off three males, destroy a family, all for their religious taboos on crack cocaine, marijuana, $1,400 cash, handguns, shotguns, and surveillance cameras. OH NO! NOT SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS! THOSE FIENDS! WHAT WERE THEY DOING WITH EVIL THINGS LIKE SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS.

Potheads force tractor-trailer off road. It wasn't the severe weather, the teenage incompetence, or the wet, slippery "could have happened to anybody" road. It had to be the "small amount of marijuana and several smoking pipes." Always blame the substance the Prohibitionistas freak about.

Religious zealots raise funds for disinformation campaign in El Paso. Can't help feeling a little jaded under Prohibition. Even the best and most sincere keep-kids-clean campaign is tainted when these insane religious Prohibitions corrupt true law and undermine health education.

Fayetteville NC: It's not nice, or smart, to shoot at the policemen trying to serve warrants on you. Of course, this could be another of those no-knock home invasions where you can't tell the good guys from the bad because they act the same. Two gun-happy trouble-causing males were also dealing mother nature. The charges: robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, two counts of assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling and felony conspiracy. Can you find the one non-crime in that list (aside from "maintaining a dwelling")?

FLORIDA OFFICER ADMITS PLANTING DRUGS ON SUSPECT. CITIZEN'S WIFE WAS ALSO THREATENED IF HE OBJECTED. TERRIFIED CITIZEN PLEAD GUILTY DESPITE INNOCENCE. The blithe admission: "The crack cocaine was provided ... in order to facilitate an arrest ... that would result in prison sentence...." How often is this kind of PuriTalibaNazi tactic used but we don't find out about? Yet one more cursed problem with Prohibition is how easy it is to frame or otherwise abuse citizens for mere "possession" instead of actual transgressions.

What we really need is privatized highways. Pennsy troopers stop over two thousand five hundred drivers at random, writing 30 technical, vehicular, license, regulatory, and seatbelt citations. TRUTH! "As a society, what's really scary is the number of kids drinking to get drunk," says Pat Fisher, health promotion officer for Waterloo (Ontario) Region in an article Drug Prevention Begins at Home.

Kentucky governor laments that fiscal shortfall means government is less able to be a personal recreational consumption interventionist. Poor little PuriTalibaNazi. Could it be they may learn the cost of their civil taboo tyranny is too high? that their love of dollars will overwhelm their insane insistence on attempting to have absolute control over every citizen's mind and body?

The cops know it's all about the money. And some of them turn, like a retired Kentucky State Police narcotics detective who was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for producing and trafficking in marijuana and methamphetamine.

THERE ARE NO "SMALL-TIME" ARRESTS! Every prohibitionist incident of any size is an insult to human liberty, every individual tyrannized for "holding" or "using" or mere "dealing" is a victim of religious zealotry -- a hate crime!

St. Augustine Record, FL: Arrested for possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, Male, 19.

Chillicothe Gazette, OH: Arrested for possession of marijuana, Male., 43.

Lima, OH: Arrested on drug trafficking charges, three males in their 20s, for approximately 13 ounces of crack "coaine" [sic], 3.5 ounces of powder cocaine, an undetermined amount of marijuana, three vehicles, and cash

Broken LinkBaltimore: Thirty "drug ring" members indicted with 2½ kilograms of cocaine, marijuana and oxycodone, as well as expensive cars, jewelry and personal watercraft. (Were the customers complaining about bad goods or service? What was the problem here?) (Watercraft??)
www.sunspot.net/news/local/crime/bal-md.wiretap23nov23,0,1819146.story?coll=bal-local-headlines

Amarillo, TX: Two lives interrupted by the narconuts, just for growing mother nature, 41 marijuana plants and 8 ounces of marijuana with a street value of $66,221.21. And that inflated price is because citizens DON'T want pot... right?

Modesto, CA: 26-year-old male citizen overpowered by narcothugs "with about a pound of high-grade marijuana and an ounce of crystal methamphetamine." But there was a real crime, too: He had stolen credit cards, the jerk!

An article in the Summit Cove CO Daily News has a sub-head "Paintball guns don't vandalize. People do." Teen vandals paintballed a school and home. The idiots were arrested, and one of them had "a small scale with suspected marijuana residue." (Groan!) Well, guess what. Pot doesn't trespass, transgress, murder, or steal. People do. If they smoke pot and DON'T do these things, there's no crime. But instead they'll probably try to regulate paintball guns. And paint itself. And maybe the very enjoyment of color the way these kooks are! Oh, wait, that's right you can already get in trouble for wearing the wrong colors.

Newark, OH: Three busted for dealing crack, coke, pot, influencing a juvie, running a house, and so on. No actual transgressions against fellow citizens were reported. A trickle of drugs overvalued at $7,000. These compound laws are especial forms of double jeopardy. For example, from this article: "Smith also allegedly used or obtained $55 during the commission of a drug offense." Well, duh! You'll pretty much always catch people with cash when there's a deal. So you get two charges for the price of one, and even more if he's got a gun. In God We Trust... to end this madness!

East Chicago, IN: The PuriTalibaNazis were tipped off and pounced on a man in his twenties "and a possible gang member," who received two TV-VCRs inside of which were 17 pounds of pot neatly valued at $17,000 street. The man also had a 39mm assault rifle on his porch. Probably for hunting. Hint, kids: UPS is in league with the tyrants. Drug dogs alerted a detective who thought the parcels weighed wrong.

Drug-Sniffing DogsIT'S NOT THE DOGS' FAULT! DON'T HURT THE INNOCENT DOGS! IT'S NOT THE COPS' FAULT! DON'T RESIST THE COPS! IT'S NOT THE JUDGES' FAULT OR THE JAILERS' FAULT! DON'T MALIGN THEM EITHER. ALTHOUGH MANY ARE NOT NICE. IT'S NOT THE DEALERS' FAULT. IT'S NOT THE USERS' FAULT. IT'S THE FAULT OF A DEMON I SOMETIMES CALL THE PURI-TALIBA-NAZI, a demon who lives inside every meddlesome self-proclaimed moralist. CHANGE THE LAWS! REPEAL! REPEAL! REPEAL AND END THE MADNESS, THE GANGSTERISM, THE CORRUPTION, THE UNDESERVED INCARCERATION. Thank you and now back to our regularly scheduled rant.

Broken LinkOntario CA: 159 plants, a dab of coke, two arrests. WHY? WHAT DID THEY DO TO ANYBODY?
www.dailybulletin.com/Stories/0,1413,203%257E21481%257E1008262,00.html

Columbia TN: eight arrested, son wrenched from father who will likely not hold his child again for years. WHY? For about three-quarters of a pound of marijuana and a half-ounce of cocaine, some guns, and cash, none of which should be illegal. And the danger to the child or society, if any, wouldn't exist at all without Prohibition.

Western Australia Sunday Times, Western Australia: Woman arrested with two tabs of ecs, man with one. Two juvies caught with 14g of pot. These innocents molested by the narcothugs were among the many real crimes during 2000 "schoolies' celebrations on Rottnest."

Hopkinsville Kentucky New Era, KY: Police stop a man leaving a residence, SEARCH HIM! and find some crack. They pop the house and find coke, pot, and paraphernalia. Five arrested by the scurvy dogs of misguided religious taboo "laws." What we really need in this country is a Constitutional right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers (and pipes), and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures. Oh, but there's that problem the PuriTaliban have with the meaning of "unreasonable."

New Britain Herald, CT: This poor shmoe has been arrested four times before for pot dealing, and this time when the knock came, he threw the gun out the window. In a free society, or if he ran something dangerous like booze, the guy could set up a store and arm himself for defense legally. Although, you know, some people (like legislators and the electorate) can't learn from their own history.

Scranton PA: Arrested: Female, 33, and Male, 33, caught with a marijuana cigarette outside a concert on Montage Mountain on July 13. OMIGAW! NOT A COUPLE OF 33-YEAR-OLDS WITH A MARIJUANA CIGARETTE! GASP!! THE WORLD IS DOOMED! Same police blotter contains this oddity: Male, "21, who was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia April 20, 2001, when a drinking party was raided... and on July 1 during a traffic stop on Luzerne Street." [sic] What was the drinking party doing at a traffic stop?

Ventura CA: Arrested: Female, 25, with three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, a .45-caliber handgun that had been stolen earlier this year from a residential burglary, weighing scales, packaging materials and more than $2,400 in cash. Naughty, naughty, girl! You shouldn't've had that stolen handgun. That's wrong.

Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter, WI: Arrested: Female, 22, charged with a felony count of being keeper of a drug house (for crack). Also arrested, a visitor at her home who had pot in his car, male, 29, charged with dealing.

Palatka Daily News, FL, what a character. One-time hoaxster-inventor who took in big-timers like Blockbuster and Intel, busted with big pot-growing operation of a little over a thousand plants valued at about five million dollars?!? You do the math what each vegetable was alleged to be worth by these insane prohibitionists. Whoops! He also had a bunch of guns, and being a convicted felon, well, they must be more dangerous than regular guns owned by good people so he was charged with that, too.

San Diego arrests seven alleged gangsters, taking 2 grams of cocaine, 2 pounds of marijuana and about $3,000, none of which should be illegal and none of which would be financing gangs if it were legal.

Announcement Between the Lines from the American Office of Disinformation in the War on Privacy: If the Pentagon says they're not going to be tagging all internet transmissions as planned, it must mean that they've found some other way way to track things that's even sneakier.

Ecstasy: In the old days, the better the psychedelic the less the speed, but these are the teeth-grinding nerve-jangling days of the Crank Gods, meth and ecstasy and coffee. These raving loons like their trips cranked out. KEED SPILLS and ecs is in that $#!+ category, but it's still got to be LEGALIZED FOR RECREATIONAL CONSUMPTION, just like everything else. More than three million in Europe alone reportedly have done ecs. As the article says, they are not all sociopathic or catatonic victims. They may pay for it with physical and mental health problems, but taking ecs is their choice, their personal risk assessment decision. Prohibition only masks the problems and hinders the processes of education and treatment. And why is this stuff illegal? BECAUSE THE PURITANICAL-TALIBANICAL MIND IS AFRAID SOMEONE MIGHT BE HAVING FUN. "The main reasons people say they consume ecstasy is to feel more pleasure when they dance, and to have fun. Other recreative drugs are consumed to gain confidence or energy, or in search of new experiences," says the report from the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction. Well, DUH! 'Twas ever thus.

Mindful Webworks: This is your country on Prohibition

YOU THINK "[ANTI-]DRUG NAZIS" IS TOO HARSH A DESCRIPTION? SAN ANTONIO COPS BREAK INTO HOME, SHOOT DOOR OPEN, THROW CONCUSSION GRENADES, BEAT, KICK, CUSS OUT INNOCENT RESIDENTS! VICTIMS THOUGHT THEY WERE BEING ROBBED--COULDN'T EVEN IDENTIFY INVADERS AS COPS. This goes on all the time, across the not-so-free world. You just don't hear about all the ones where they didn't screw up because those people were "guilty" and so their brutalization wouldn't be such sensational news. "For the past decade or more, we've seen a shift from the notion of community-oriented police models to a militarized model, where the police operate with a siege mentality," said Will Harrell, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas. The drug thugs were prepared to treat the original target this way. After the element of surprise had been lost, a coke and pot dealer in a nearby residence was somewhat more politely hauled off by the anti-drug thugs for 86 grams of marijuana, 40 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and several rounds of ammunition (but no weapons). NONE OF WHICH SHOULD BE ILLEGAL ANYWAY!

Dildo sign THE PURITALIBAN DON'T LIKE SEX EITHER

Cultures in serious conflict grows: Nigerian religious lunatics expand their murderous rampage against the Miss World contest, which finally gets the hint and moves to London. Showing a little of God's beautiful female skin is considered evil, but burning strangers alive in the street, just like stoning women to death for adultery, is considered perfectly okay with the Great Allah.

Whoops! Don't look at that one! Businessman about to make a presentation in Texas opens the wrong file and eek! little naked boys are on the screen. He claims a computer virus put it there. It also, apparently, emailed many such kiddie porn photos to his friends and stored a lot of disks with the stuff. Some virus!

"We are still the only state whose courts deny a right to privacy to its citizens, we are still the only state whose courts have upheld sodomy laws, we are still back in the 18th century unfortunately," said John D. It may not be Louisiana, but apparently in White Oak, Texas, they will arrest you for having too many sex toys. There's a limit? Yup. Just like booze limit laws in some counties in Arkansas, and those two-ounces-or-less type pot laws. There's no sanity to such regulations, just PuriTalibanitarianism. In all these cases, IT'S EITHER LEGAL OR IT ISN'T!

More sports figures and Hollywood luminaries in the news for pot. They're the same as anybody else.

Apparently, America's getting pot cafes already. At least the drug nazis think Strawberries Restaurant and Lounge in Plantation FL was allowing patrons to purchase and consume marijuana on the premises. COMING SOON TO A CAFE NEAR YOU! If we can overthrow the PuritaNazis, that is.

After giving the kids scant warning to ditch their stash, a Broken Linkdrug nazi sweep of Dalton OH High School turned up nothing. Although "K9 units alerted to spots that may recently have had drugs present." Or maybe they just smelled where some old hamburger had been. Or maybe they just barked when the handlers told them to. Who really knows? Not even the dogs.

Drug nazis in Smyrna TN caught thirteen alleged small-timers with some pot, coke, and ecs when they should have been chasing crooks. Worth a paltry $5,000 they say. What's that come to in the inflated imaginations of these drug-crazed PuriTaliban? an ounce, a gram, and a tab?

Biggest PCP lab in the country (they say) busted in Baltimore. Fifty million dollars worth. Article mentions one means of consumption of PCP is it's "sprayed on marijuana or parsley to smoke." Eeeww gross! What a waste of weed... or even parsley!

El Presidente de Colombia thinks all Europeans and Americans should be drug-tested. I like a president with a sense of humor, especially one whose entire country is held hostage to America's insane civil war against recreational substance users.

Here's a couple of women manufacturing meth in their home, with a 9-year-old child present. There's only one way this kind of $#!+ is going to end: Legalization. Remove the profit incentive from the home-brewers. The rest of this report from Alabama is more and more meth. People want meth. I don't and I detest it, but we have to live with it. Wait until they get cranked up and pull some anti-social crap, then lock them up. Just like boozers.

Your Drug Nazis On Patrol in Arizona: Two busts. One stealing 1,445 pounds of marijuana and another stealing 2,980 pounds from their rightful possessors (with the absurdly inflated alleged street value respectively of $1.4 million and $2.9 million). That's just what they caught. Imagine all that they missed!

Philly cop arrested trying to buy pot in Oregon. Whoops!

Home-grow operation ruined by insane drug dogs in Galena, Ohio. Several plants in closets, thirteen pounds ready-to-smoke, a little H, a little ecs, and some (of course) paraphernalia. One poor bastard thrown in jail for growing nature's own.

Grow operation ruined by insane drug dogs in South Lake Tahoe (CA?). The grower's stupid brother climbed in through a window to get some of his stuff and blew the gig. HE'S the idiot who should be locked up. The two growers will be, though. Forty-six plants and nearly thirty ounces of ready-to-smoke.

GOD END THIS MADNESS AND BRING US LIBERTY FROM PURITALIBANIST TYRANNY!

Kim Kyung-jae died after playing non-stop for 86 hoursInternet addiction: When technology advances more rapidly than the intellectual and spiritual readiness of a society, a period of chaos ensues. Internet gaming is becoming an addiction problem in hi-tech South Korea, including at least one fatality. That's worse than pot. Better make it illegal!

In the category "Wish they'd paid me to do that study of the obvious," the latest entry is a study by Microsoft which says that efforts to stop online file swapping will ultimately never work.

Well, I think an eight-foot-tall condom is pretty tacky and tasteless, too, and has no real point being in the lobby of the state assembly building, but then, I'm not living in Andhra Pradesh, India, one of the worst AIDS-infected states in India. At least those who objected to the condom regarded it as undignified, rather than opposing their use like the Falwellians, the Pope cult, Al Kyduh, and so many religious zealots. "And he warned that AIDS was spreading so rapidly it threatened the very future of the assembly, as there would be no voters left if the spread of the HIV virus were not stopped."

The new party-line lie about pot making people crazy is spreading predictably, picking up steam now. Latest to parrot are Health24, South Africa, The Sydney Morning-Herald, The Guardian, HealthNews.co.uk, Broken LinkThe Melbourne Herald-Sun, Broken LinkThe Boston Globe, The Discovery Channel, Stuff.co.nz, and The Toronto Star which last has the sub-headline Teenagers at risk Girls vulnerable.
