Perfect

I don't see us being perfect
  I'm told we're all supposed to try
I don't see us reaching perfect
  In this life before we die

Heard there might be one exception
   He lived a long long time ago
I believe he reached Perfection
   I wasn't there so I don't know

Just what does perfect mean to mortals?
   When imperfection's all we feel?
Can we reach relative perfection
   Not absolute but some Ideal?

(Because) I don't see anyone who's perfect
   (But) I know so many who are trying
Imperfect souls who long for Perfect
   Need time to get there after dying

(Although) I never thought of you as perfect
   (No&not) For all the goodness that I see
(Buty'know) THe only perfect part of my life
   Is (th't) you're the (only) perfect one for me

Continue seeking for perfection
   Because perfection's what it takes
To know Creation as Perfection
   Just know that God makes no mistakes
